Luckily got a table for 11 on MLK day in spite of crowds. The table was round, not the typical long banquet type, which was much more fun with family and friends. Incredible crab cakes. Good lobster mac and cheese! Always a fun place to eat with good beef

Stopped by the bar for a drink after skiing. Was busy, but able to get drink and enjoy the outside (enclosed) balcony.

Excellent food, good for couples having a night out or a romantic dinner. Small but friendly bar if you need to wait for a table. Close to down town and easy to get to, usually can find parking for a fee or go a few block and walk for free.

Good all round atmosphere. Recommend the steaks however they are deceivingly small. Ordered the tomahawk 45 ounce steak which is highly recommended.

I have dined very regularly for the last 8 years at Jimmy's Restaurant. I have watched them rudely and loudly throw people out of the bar without hesitation frequently in those years. Shockingly, they did that to me last weekend after I said something that angered the bartender - I was ignorant that the topic was a land mine. Immediately... More

Jimmy's is an Aspen staple for a reason - simply the best time and again. We had dinner last night and as always, it is a memorable experience. The food is perfectly prepared and you cannot go wrong with the daily chef special. We visit Jimmy's every time we are is Aspen and the Moscow Mule is my favorite drink.... More

We went here with a large party of 19 people. The acoustics in the room make it difficult to hear waiters and conversation over the noise. The food was just OK. Nothing thrilling or different. I had heard good things so I will assume it was an off night but our waiter seemed overwhelmed.

We enjoyed a dinner outside and it was the perfect atmosphere. The staff was excellent and the food was even better.

Description
Since 1997, Jimmy's has been Aspen's neighborhood restaurant and bar, the kind of comfortable restaurant where you can dine again and again. Ask any local, and you will hear that Jimmy's is an "Aspen Institution." The menu has something for everyone, from the fresh-squeezed margaritas and the "locally-priced" bar menu to the famous crab cakes, USDA prime steaks, and fresh fish. "The menu is designed to feature the finest in American cuisine without being pretentious, served in an energetic atmosphere," says proprietor (and local) Jimmy Yeager. The energy at Jimmy's is what really draws a crowd; the bar is nearly always jam-packed and the dining room lively with activity and a mix of interesting people. The welcoming staff provide the best in top-notch hospitality. Jimmy's is "home" for a large community of locals and tourists alike.
