We went here 3 times while in San Pedro. All the Lion Fish dishes are fabulous! Mar is an amazing chef! And you can't beat hanging out with Shaggy for an evening! Fun place!

The best lionfish I have ever had! The lion fish cakes were unbelievable. I wish we had visited earlier in our trip, I could have eaten there everyday. The bartender was very friendly and there were a lot of locals at the bar that made us feel very welcome. A really neat spot I would definitely visit again!

After hearing so much about how delicious lion fish is, and the great reviews on this site, my husband and I decided to give these guys a try. We are so glad we did! The bar and restaurant setting are relaxed, clean and comfortable. The ultimate outdoor Belizean experience. We ordered the garlic ginger lion fish and the piña colada... More

Definitely the place to try lion fish. I got the pina lion fish, very sweet but did not disappoint. My husband got the garlic lion fish and was good too. Very busy but the server/bar tender did a great job.

Wonderful staff. They came to our resort and picked up our fish and it was ready to go when we arrived. Appetizers were great (try the fritters). Service was great as well. Nice dinner with some nice folks.

We came here to try the lionfish and we were not disappointed. Though the chef appeared to have just woken up and arrived possibly off of a bender, it didn't matter because the fish was outstanding. The bartender and the locals that were being served were lots of fun and they didn't mind my taking lots of photos of the... More

The food was delicious and Jason (owner) was so cool and laid back. The restaurant was within walking distance of the house we rented. We ate there our first night in Belize and another time during our 5 day stay. We attempted to eat there a 3rd time at the Chef's table, but there weren't any availabilities. There was a... More

really enjoyed every single thing we ordered here. Lion fish is the only fish you'll find on the menu and they do an amazing job with various versions (orange garlic was amazing!), but there are shellfish options like shrimp and lobster. had fun hanging out drinking and talking with the owner and the locals that would show up. Wish we... More

My friends and I stopped into Pirate's by chance on our last day in Belize at around 9:30pm which is later than almost any other restaurant is open. The restaurant was empty at the time, but the kitchen was still open and the bar was crowded with what looked like a group of regulars, so we sat down at the... More
