This is definitely not the best place to eat in Dangriga, but we had a decent meal there. The service is okay, but the menu is limited, as it is in lots of restaurants there. It does have a certain local "charm" but it is not very clean and the bathroom is just plain gross.

affordable, convenient for travellers heading to the cayes, well prepared food, friendly and helpful staff. Situated right along the north stann creek river, and in downtown Dangriga. Let the staff help you arrange a trip to the nearby cayes.

First tried the hamburger and was hooked...only place in Dangriga I go to when I want a food burger. Saw the fried fish & rice and beans combo served to a couple one day and it looked and smelled delightful . strange quaint little location. But anywhere I can text in my order and have it ready by the time... More

As others have noted, Riverside Cafe is located by the river, where boats come in with their catch and you can see and smell local commercial fishermen cutting up the fish they've brought in. You can also pick up a trip out to Tobacco Caye here -- you'll get plenty of offers, but I suggest you ask your hotel manager... More

This place is located along the dock so it's convenient to have a cold beer while you're waiting for your boat shuttle to the Cayes. Sometimes the locals hang around the outside which might intimidate some. The food is passable but I would suggest getting the fish since it is a fishing village, or a hamburger. The washroom can be... More

We ate here twice. Once for lunch, once for breakfast. Both meals were good and fresh and the service was good. Fry jacks were light and fluffy. Chicken was tasty. Lunch for 2 was $12 us including beer.

My husband and I went here for dinner on the recommendation of the hotel owner. When we arrived the people sitting behind the bar were surprised we were there to eat dinner and didn't know what was on the menu. I think we caught this place at an off night because the other reviews seem positive. However, the food was... More

We came to the Riverside Cafe because we were told to find a boat captain there that would take us out to Tabacco Caye. It turned out to be very convenient - we waited about 40 minutes for a captain, and got some breakfast while we were waiting. We both had fry jacks, eggs, and bacon - it was very... More

Great place across the river from the market, ez to find. Good place to wait on a boat to the cayes and meet lots of expats and tourists. Food is excellent. I had scrambled eggs with fryjacks (best I have had in Belize) I added tomatoes and pepper sauce, and had the ever available Nescafe, and had a great breakfast... More
