In a town of expensive and mediocre restaurants Rumfish stands out. The fish tacos were extraordinary as was the ceviche. Though wines are very expensive I Placencia this restaurant had some relatively reasonably priced and good wines. The restaurant itself is a lovely spot to hang out

Ok, it was the name that drew us in but then Peruvian ceviche & lobster flat bread that made us stay. Then we found out the owners are from Ventura, CA. Waiting for the food to arrive before commenting on that.

Had a great meal here last night in the village of Placencia. I had the barbeque pork chop, which was very tasty. My husband had the special, which was a broiled snook with a light curry sauce. He enjoyed his alot. Veggies were done to perfection. Wait staff very good. Manager came over to our table at the start of... More

Love the variety of selections and daily specials at Rumfish y Vino. We have been there twice so far and will go back. The appetizers are a bit small for their prices compared to the entree prices would be my only critique. I thought the short rib lasagna was one of the best things I had ever tasted!

Loved it so much, we ate here twice, which we almost never do. Great drinks, Lionfish crudo was awesome. Service was impeccable - and the owner was a delight.

We arrived early for our trip to an island. We were brought to downtown to "walk around" for an hour. It was pouring and we saw the sign for Rum Fish. We had amazing spicy margaritas and some of the best fish tacos I have ever had. The staff was amazing and friendly and the food and beverages were fantastic.... More

Rumfish never skips a beat. Professional attentive friendly service, wide range of wines, each course of the meal beautifully presented, and a wonderful ambiance. This is a very special dining experience that my wife and I look forward to every visit to Placencia. I wish they would open one up in Kansas City for us!

This place gets it right every time. Fish and Lobster have never been over cooked, wine list is terrific and staff makes you feel like you are their only customer.
