Great pupusas, a treat from El Salvador, brought to Panajachel by a Salvadoran restauranteur. They have a varied selection of pupusas, I like the cheese and loroco, the best. Also, I enjoy the pupas with ongos and queso also. A great place to eat when enjoying the night life of Panajachel. Service is fast and efficient! Thank you for the... More

Excellent service, and genuine Salvadorian cuisine. Fresh homemade ingredients. At a very affordable price, sit, eat and watch the people go bye.

Right, so by far this is the best value and some would argue tasting meal you can get in Panajachel. Papusas (Q.10 - $1.20) for those who don't know are Salvadorian and the owners are from El Salvador so they are the real deal. My favorites were Beans and Cheese, Mixta, Chipilin ( A local green not too different from... More

Great for lunch. Minimum order is two, so I didn't order as one for a light lunch is plenty. The second time we went in he remembered and brought a spare plate and cutlery despite us having coincided with a huge group on our first visit, very impressive. Service is not fast, as every one is handmade by one lady... More

I have never had this type of meal, but found it to be very good and unique. It takes a little time to get your order so expect to wait just a bit. Consider also setting close to the front door opening as it can get a little smoky close to the grill.

Had the cheese and garlic and cheese and spinach pupusas. Was adequately filling and the price at 10Q each was a good deal. Check it out if you want a tasty snack and some drinks.

What is great about Cheros compared to other pups places is that it has set hours so you will never have to worry that it won't be open. However, it is slightly more expensive than the other places, and the toppings are not really unlimited, Cheros is solid, though it wouldn't be my #1 choice.

Best pupusas in Pana! Delicious and cheap! Chero will give you a very warm, El Salvadorian Welcome! Right in the centre of town.

We were traveling with our Salvadoran & Guatemalan guides so thought we should have drinks at this Salvadoran bar. They pulled together 3 or 4 tables for us and we sampled some rum, had some beers and got lubricated before dinner (the cook was off this evening).
