I bring teams of volunteers to Lake Atitlan and our first dinner is always here. Owner Miguel and his daughters present a lively and engaging cultural show, marimba music and a tortilla making contest that both adults and children love. All the food is delicious but for our teams I choose the traditional dish of Pepian de Pollo. This family... More

Excellent food and atmosphere. Loved hearing José's story about how he started. The marimba music was very good. He also told how the instruments were made. Very interesting to hear that also.

This is a family owned restaurant with a cultural twist. The moment we sat down, we were entertained with music from Jose's beautiful and talented daughters. In between sets, Jose would engage his captive audience with stories about his Mayan ancestors. All the while, his wife and other girls were in the kitchen cooking the most fantastic traditional meal. We... More

We had all three types of tacos and they were delicious! Perfect for us! The traditional music was so much fun to listen to. Then the band switched over to more contemporary and did amazing. People even got up to dance. So much fun!

The dinner and entertainment was so enjoyable. Our children learned about Mayan history and got involved in the show playing instruments, singing and making tortillas. We will definitely go back!

For Easter this year we went to Panajachel to spend a few days and one night walking on the Santander street we noticed a small little restaurant where girls played marimba, dressed in typical costumes of the region, we decided to walk in and dine in the place, very tasty food, that night I ate roast puyaso, very soft and...
