This was being said as we could see frozen drinks being prepared at the bar. We moved to the bar itself to get out of the sun and saw a box of coconut cream being delivered and... More

Just returned from a fabulous week's stay in Roatan. Had wonderful rent-by-owner lodgings next door to the Port Side Restaurant. Reviews from others' experiences had us eager to dine at Port Side. It was the slow season on the island, and the restaurant was closed, but our RBO contact indicated the chef might arrange some cooking for us. We called... More

Just got back from a cruise with Princess Caribbean. One of our stops is Roatan. We toured Roatan by private car and our driver brought us to Port Side Restaurant for lunch. We did not know what to expect since the place is unpretentious. Francois, the owner/chef met us with a friendly smile and a big handshake. We had twin... More

After hearing the praises of "Gio's" from every man, women, and child upon our arrival on Roatan, my girlfriend and I could not have been any happier to have ended up at "Port Side" restaurant. Francois, the chef and proprietor, rolled out all the charm and ambience that one could wish for in a no frills seaside restaurant with spectacular... More

Living in Guatemala, you hear a lot about other places in the surrounding countries, Port Side is one of those places you hear about and for good reason. I had liked their Facebook page months ago, and always drooled at their advertised specials. Finally being in Roatan, I had to go try em out in person. I was not disappointed.... More

We have been coming to Roatan since 2008, and this gem of a restaurant that we have just found out about, is the best dinning we have ever had on the island! The walk up through a grotto like entrance is a unique start to your dining experience. We were warmly greeted by Chef Mike, and felt very welcomed. Once... More

I lived on Roatan for 6 years in the '90's. I spend about 2 months a year there now. Port Side has become my favorite restuarant on the island. It is also special to me since my wife and I built the house where Port Side is located, and sitting on the deck brings back fond memories of this special... More

This was a dinning experience! The restaurant was slow due to the tropical storm but the chef went above and beyond for us. He came out and explained all of his dishes and suggested a wine to compliment them. After we ordered he came back to tell us about his inspiration for the meals and his story about the restaurant.... More

We have a condo on Roatan and spend ten to twelve weeks a year here and count the days between visits to Port side .Our only worry in writing a review is it may get too busy for us to get... More
