Interesting choices on the menu make it difficult to decide as you can go from steaks to seafood, to typical southern favorites to enjoy your evening. Dinner with a big table of people and service was outstanding as was the preparation of the variety of dishes ordered and enjoyed by all - you can't go wrong and there is a... More

My friend and I had dinner at George's low country tonight and it was very good!! The menu has some unique items on it and everything we ordered was very tasty! Our server was friendly and responsive but didn't hover. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends!!

I hate to write this reciew because George's has been one of my favorites. Last night was a bummer. They were also hosting a large wine tasting party. I'm not sure that had anything to do with the over salted entrees (carpetbagger steak and etoufe in pastry). This is the second time I've had an oversalted dish. The four tiny... More

We had an impromptu dinner on a Saturday night in September. The decor was simple yet inviting, and I loved the low mood lighting. They seemed to be steadily busy, but there were open tables available with no waiting. The restaurant is in an unexpected place - part of a mini-shopping center - but once you're inside you feel like... More

I went to George's brunch after on a friend's recommendation. Wow, just delicious. Be warned, go hungry. The appetizers are big enough to make a meal of! I had the shrimp and grits, and my husband had the short ribs. I am not usually one to eat grits, but I wanted to try something different. They were hot and creamy... More

Giving it a two is generous. For $55, it was awful. The shrimp tortellini with cream sauce was beyond bland, and the shrimp was over cooked. I could've picked up a jar of Preggo alfredo sauce, and been way happier. The fried green tomatoes were cut so big and thick, I think we had two tomatoes cut into 4 pieces.... More

I'm confused. This is not Cajun nor low country. Ok you don't have to have the super heat, but you do need some flavor! Bloody Mary tiny water glass with no frills and little taste. All around disappointed except they do have good service and a nice atmosphere.

Had business guest from out of town so I thought I would let him on one of my gems arrived at 7pm and closed the place at 10pm lol... Meal was very good and started with aptz of fried green tomatoes, shrimp fritters and mussels. They all were a big hit but the tomatoes stood out from the three... House... More

We visited for an early dinner before a concert. Turns out that Thursday is prime rib special night. The beef was outstanding and more than each of us could eat. Side salad, bread and two vegetables came for $15. Service was exceptional. The menu is short, but the offerings are all unique. The location is convenient to the loop and... More
