Having eaten at Heirloom many times the weekend brunch is my absolute favorite in Athens. The Love on a biscuit is truly unique and should not be missed.

Great cafe. We enjoyed our food very much. Wheat free pancakes were huge! Coffee could have been a bit warmer but the pimento cheese grits and amazing biscuits made up for that. Staff was friendly. Will definitely go the next time I get a chance.

I had rather high expectations for Heirloom Cafe due to other reviews and viewing their website and Facebook page. We were seated promptly for Saturday brunch because we had reservations. Table was small for two people, and it was very noisy. The waiter was friendly. I selected the smoked chicken salad sandwich on whole grain bread with side of salad.... More

I really like the concept of this little restaurant, so I hope the chef/owner will read this review. I've eaten at Heirloom twice this fall. The farm to table concept is very appealing, but the food just wasn't very good. First visit ordered the lamb meatloaf, and it was hard, over-cooked?, and not very warm. Second visit, fried pork shank... More

Ate here for brunch on a Saturday. Got there at the perfect time around 10:15am. We all had the spinach/goat cheese quiche which was very good. The potatoes were tasty also. Good overall experience. Enjoy!

My husband and I had lunch here on a recent trip to Athens. The food was delicious! Hubby had the Meatloaf Sandwich. He was pleased. I had a cup of the Chicken Mull and the Pork Belly Salad. While the mull wasn't like the traditional mull I grew up eating, ot was a hearty, tasty chicken soup. (Note: I grew... More

We keep coming back here because the atmosphere is fantastic, well lit, and has open air seating. And also because they accept reservations which is rare for brunch! The food is consistent, even with the chef changes and the coffee is great.

My wife and I went to breakfast there on Saturday. The restaurant has a very healthy menu and feels very open and comfortable. We had the most enjoyable time sitting at the bar and talking to our bartender Celeste. It is not surprising that she received an award for hospitality in 2014. We look forward to returning.

The menu is short and sweet, which is good -- something for everyone, but not overwhelming. I chose the vegetable plate consisting of 4 very unusual vegetable creations along with cornbread. All of the veges were really good (not your typical southern cooked veges) -- Very enjoyable meal!! Not crazy about the cornbread -- not "southern" enough for me, but... More
