Recently was in the city and loved this place! I had a spinach feta lasagna that was outstanding. Full of flavor, outstanding value, great portion size. Service was excellent and staff was very knowledgeable of what was on the menu. Others at my table also loved their food: a grilled cheese sandwich that was colossal in size and equally large... I work nearby and stop in once or twice a week. I love that everything is so flavorful...the potato leek soup is beyond incredible and their tomato basil if very flavorful. The portions are huge and one of the cool things is the mashed potato of the day kind of thing...some days cheddar, sometimes goat cheese. The house salad with... More

Stopped there during a recent trip to UGA. Hipster decor and an amazing stream of background music...Pixies, REM, etc. The food was excellent. I had a "Steak" Quesidilla that was huge for 7.75. Chips and homemade salsa. Great flavor. My kids had black bean burgers and enjoyed them. They have homemade desserts that were excellent. Cool place that we will... More

Great food. Really flavorful chili. Interesting drink choices too. Older, functional but underwhelming decor.

I am not nor will I ever be a vegetarian. That said, you don't have to have meet at every meal and you can get a great breakfast dish, without meat, at the Grit. I had a cheese omelet that was delightful. The gouda grits were excellent. I'd avoid the meat pretenders like soysage. Tried a bite only to be... More

This place never disappoints! I usually get a veggie plate if I'm eating for lunch or dinner, but and I may expand my horizons and get something different next time. I've also had an omelet for breakfast, and I've gotten a few of their desserts and they were so good!

This was my second trip to the Grit. My last one was several years ago. I remembered it as being very good with unique dishes. I was a little disappointed this trip. My choices were quite a bit bland. Took my waitresses suggestions. Took home some soup for my Mom. She tasted it and wouldn't eat it. I tasted it,... More

Cool place. Enjoyed the Ruben and Bon Mi sandwiches. The pinto chiliequiles was fantastic (has cheese, no vegan cheese option).

Had lunch here. Sat at the bar. The owner was working behind the bar. She was so pleasant and helpful. Lots of vegan options. Had the vegan BLT. It was amazing and huge. Could not finish it. Everything was top quality.
