Strictly vegetarian restaurant, and all the dishes would improve for me with a piece of salmon on top....but good for a change of pace. Reasonable prices and a fun waitstaff. You can always have a steak later.

Their cheesy grits and pancakes are excellent! Be prepared for food so good, you won't even notice that there's no meat on the menus. Desserts are homemade, and food is fresh. Staff can be a little aloof....they're typically "too cool" hipsters.

Grit - not very appetizing name. Nor was the food. Oddly uppity for a place that is supposed to be counter-cultural. But, all of that aside, I found the food bland at best and simply bad at worst. Three tries and I am done.
Our FIRST meal in Athens on the day our FIRST child was moving into his dorm for his FIRST year of UGA was disappointingly awful. Not a pleasant experience for a teary Southern Mama & the rest of our lunch party. We were a party...More
