Happy hour is between 5-7pm and they have some great appetizer and drink specials. Enjoyed my steak and grilled scallops - cooked perfectly! Service was a bit slow (took them awhile to serve my main course and then 5 more minutes to hand me a steak knife). But food was delicious! Will revisit on my next trip!

I would t go out of my way to eat there. The crab cakes were mostly filler. The hush puppies were greasy oil soaked balls of dough. The crab legs were fresh however it was not served with fresh drawn butter, but with some fake substitute. The only tasty items was the shrimp and chicken gumbo.

Wife and I visited Beamie's at the River on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We sat inside and ordered the Gumbo and Jambalaya and since we have not eaten in Louisiana we really could not compare to the Cajun way of cooking. However, they were both full of meat and spices that satisfied our hunger pains. And the hushpuppies were amazing!... More

i love crab and shrimp but i didn't find anything on the menu that made me overall excited to try. The hush puppies i was very hesitant to try but the after i was hooked, I was nervous due to the jalapenos but they are not over bearing, it gave it the perfect hint of flavor. I don't know what... Dining area at 1:30pm was completely filthy. Almost no table had been bussed. Restaurant was less than half full, and we were told to sit wherever, but there wasn't a clean table to be had. Wait staff seemed lackadaisical and uninspired to square things away. Walls near us have splatter marks of food on them. If we hadn't been hungry... More

A huge aquarium greets you as you enter, TVs are common and fake parrots of various sizes and colors suspend from the ceiling. My server was very attentive and quite knowledgeable about Augusta, its buildings and history. I believe his name was "Mackie". I had the crayfish entree which was excellent, and a Bloody Mary served in a shot glass... More

Family of 4 had dinner here while visiting Augusta. The fried shrimp reminded me of some you buy in the frozen section of the grocery store. Crab cakes was mushy. Cheesecake was good and the potato salad was excellent.

Food was good - service was too. We had a group of 6 with the food selection ranging from hamburger - oysters-steak-nachos- fish and shrimp. No one had anything bad To say - shocking with our group.

Great Gumbo! Lots of flavor. A must if you are Downtown Augusta. Nice relaxed atmosphere with aquariums and beach theme.
