Hockey game at Southwest Ice Arena. Restaurant is right across the street. Food was good. Both my son and I ordered the namesake's kitchen sink skillet and a cup of coffee. $11.99 skillet + $2.29 coffee ×2. Bill was over $36. 16 year old son saw bill total and says, "No way that's right." He quickly added the bill in... More

This is a cozy family restaurant, the receptionist is always welcoming. Food is locally grown, tons of variety of meals from yummy and interesting omelets to comfort foods. Convenient to I-294 And the double tree hotel

Seated quickly, very friendly, good service. This is my second visit here, All food is acceptable, but it is lacking in appeal. Nothing I've had yet has given me the desire to come back.

We had a BOGO coupon to use. Saw that Country House had a 4.5* rating from Trip Advisor so we had high expectations. Unfortunately they were not met. The split pea soup tasted as if it was thickened with gelatin. The calamari in the spinach/calamari/fettucinni bowl were overcooked and slightly rubbery. The chicken with cherries, apricots and walnuts was an... More

Passed by many times but decided to give it a try. Our first visit was breakfast. Not typical breakfast fare. They have organic eggs, whole wheat wraps with eggs, spinach and sundried tomatoes. Food was delicious, next visit was lunch. Every meal comes with soup, the brocoli cheese was delicious wish I had a bowl instead of the cup. Had... More

Had lunch here on a recent business trip. The menu is expansive so deciding is difficult. This is home cooked, yet diner style food. Soups are good, salads are huge. I ended up having a BLT sandwich which I would get again. The service is fast and the staff is very accommodating. We arrived about 12:30 and the restaurant was... More

I loved the quaint environment. Old family run business - if it ain't broke don't fix it. We stopped for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised to find organic eggs on the menu. The breakfast was eggcellent, the coffee just right and the service - friendly.

A coworker invited me to this place with the promise of a very natural food. I have never tasted a blue cheese dressing so good and tasty like the one they do. The dishes are so big and the food is so good. Kudos to the old lady who assisted us. The only reason why im not going giving a... More

We had a group of 25 that had an impromptu breakfast and Country House did their best to take care of us without any advanced warning.

A work group of 8 (2 military) stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday on our way to the east side of Chicago. We were welcomed by fresh bread on our table and soup came with every meal. After we had placed our orders, management came to our table with a complimentary margherita pizza and thanked our military for their... More
