Here on business and local guys from plant bragged about this place. Guacamole is awesome and fresh made. Skirt steak was probably the best and most tender I have ever had. I sometimes don't order other places because it can be chewy, this however was awesome! I had the carne arriera which is skirt steak with jalapeño sauce, fabulous! Service... More

We have always wanted to try this restaurant so we decided to go out an a cold night. We were seated right away and greeted with a bowl of warm salsa and chips. Both were good. After reading the extensive menu, I decided to have the carne a la tampiquena and my wife had the chicken tacos. Both of the... More

This was a very good place to eat. The night we were there it was very busy however, we were seated quickly. We ordered Margaritas and they were very tasty. Chips & salsa was really good. I had never had cactus and our server brought out a sample before I ordered it to make sure I would like it. I... More

While riding the Gillman trail in Aurora;on several occasions we noticed the filled up parking lot at the restaurant. Today we decided to stop in to check out the food. It felt like you were in Mexico as soon as you step inside. We had steak and chicken tacos and fried smelts. Service was quick and nice. Food tasted great.

I ordered a steak torta. What I got was an extra-large hamburger bun, small pieces of dried chopped beef, red salsa, lettuce, tomato, onion. It had no flavor so I threw it in the garbage. What surprised me was that the restaurant was packed with local Mexicans. I figured it had to be good -- like Italians eating at Italian... More

If it is delicious, authentic, Mexican you like, La Quebrada is the restaurant for you. It's a bit "off the beaten path", but well worth the trip. It's just minutes from downtown Aurora on Broadway. We like to go there before seeing a performance at the Paramount Theater.

Decided to try this place out while on my search for great Mexican food in the Midwest. Started off with a margarita -- mine are far better. Theirs tasted like a pre made mix. Salsa was good and fresh. My husband had the mixture of sizzling fajitas. They were not sizzling but decent. I had chicken flautas they were okay.... More

I love the shrimp ceviche here! Fresh, made to order, and very generous portion size. What is not to love? The Micheladas are made with your choice of beer and just the right spiciness. My daughter loves that the chicken noodle soup comes with a chicken leg in it. It is a neighborhood gem for those in the know for... More

Just good Mexican food. Period. No fancy names in the menu. Tacos are good. Service are good. Clean. After a full meal, you can walk in the park nearby. Prices are reasonable.
