The Indian food at India Palace was very tasty and the Naan bread was the best in town. The lunch buffet was all you can eat and for under $10, but unfortunately the restaurant has closed since my last visit. They will be building new construction on the site where the restaurant was but hopefully the India Palace will open... More

Stopped by for Lunch after hearing from some buddies. Food was outstanding and service even better! Definitely a true gem in Campustown.

We have been here a year ago and was disappointed. We thought of giving it another try and visited again and tried the lunch buffet. The limited choice of items were prepared in most amateurish manner. One can buy frozen Indian dinners at grocery stores and have better experience. The dishes were watery and without taste. Indian dishes if prepared... More

Samosas were greasy. Korma was watery and had almost no lamb. Service was very good. Rice had no spice to it at all (usually I expect a little mustard seed or cumin seed).

Love everything about this place. The people are so friendly and welcoming. Had dinner - Chai, veggie somosa, a spinach paneer dish, goat curry, mango lassi, garlic naan. My husband and I loved that we could get our food a bit spicier. I understand that the lunch buffet is mild because of typical American taste - maybe that's why some... More

We went out of our way to go to this restaurant seeking vegetarian food and were not disappointed. The owner and staff were very accommodating and all food was made to order for dinner. The price was good and the quality was also perfect.

Have wanted to come and try their Buffet for a long time. It was good with a lot of variety, a lot of new things to try. Their orange cake is to die for. Everything was very fresh and the service was good. I would have liked to see more items, but we got full.

We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was about 1/3 full around 1:00pm. The food was ok, not great, generally lacking spicing but warm and palatable. There were four vegetarian entrees on the buffet plus two chicken entrees, one was chicken tandoori. As with many other Indian restaurants we have tried in Iowa, the food was... More

I usually despise buffet because of the cold and ordinary food. India Palace has an exceptionally good lunch buffet for $8 per adults (kids half price). The food is always piping hot and fresh, especially of you're here shortly after 11:30 am. The variety changes every day and they're all delicious. The owner and his wife ate super nice. No... More

Maybe this is under new ownership. When we went we had the worst Indian food we have ever had. The buffet items had films of grease on all of the foods offered. Husband and I took one look and just got some of the tandoori chicken ( dry and bland) and said we are outta here. Go to the other... More
