First, I love brunch at local cafes and this place didn't disappoint! I had amazing lemon ricotta pancakes, blueberry butter, peppered bacon and a Bloody Mary that was perfect. Had lots of traditional American food items and some with a Korean flare (mmmm). Kids menu---fantastic. Our little one had scrambled eggs, bacon, grapes and yogurt for $4.50, you can't beat... More

Had a perfect meal in Ames. So many creative selections on the menu it was difficult to choose. All three of us loved our dinners. All fresh ingredients, including grains and vegetables you don't have everyday, cleverly assembled. Warm, inviting and clean atmosphere. Had a drink in the bar while we waited for our table. You could tell a lot... More

I've been to The Cafe twice now and both times were great experiences. The wait staff is attentive and takes the time to explain dishes to you. The menu changes regularly so there is always something new to try. My first trip I had a salad. It was so fresh you would have thought they had a garden right out... More

The foodds was good with good service all in a very nice atmosphere. We had an appetizer with beets & we devoured it - even those that don't like beets.

My wife and I lived in Ames until 2014 and just stopped in for brunch! It still remains a great establishment for any meal of the day. The menu is always something new and the quality of food and atmosphere is just great. We were happy to wait only 20 mins for a table! I had the Monte Cristo and... More

New Years Eve, Went early, No wait. Server was very good. Food was not the usual high quality we have had before. Reuben was almost uneatable. Bread was bone hard and sandwich was very spicy hot. Will go again, but hope meal is better. Desert was wonderful.
