Tried this place after visiting motorcycle museum. Was a great find. Cool vintage interior. Lunch special was prime rib sandwich. $10 included fries! Great tasting sandwich--prime rib plus caramelized onions and banana peppers on buttery bun.

We have family living in rural Anamosa and have driven through thousands of times. Our son suggested we go here for lunch and assumed it was a normal bar type place with a lot of the typical fried food iterms. When we walked in I was pleasantly surprised with the unique decor. Very clean and very pleasant people working there.... More

Great little place! Food was really good and fair priced...service was fast and waitress was friendly. After we finished, the owner came out to visit. It was fun to learn about his great grandfather owning the building and business there...the building itself is so cool! Will definitely stop again if we are traveling through!

This is in an old store and butcher shop redone to be a nice restaurant. The chef came out to talk and you can tell he is very proud of his cooking. We have to agree. My wife had the chicken parma and I had the prime rib. Both excellent choices. The only thing I did not like was being... More

Just happened across Tyler and Downing's at lunch time and couldn't have been more impressed. The simple store front hides the historic insides. Great sandwiches and service. We will be back!

We were recommended this establishment by the front desk person at our hotel. We are not disappointed! We both had the prime rib special and it was delicious! Our waitress Ashely was awesome! Very sweet and took great care of us while we were there. Our three year old daughter loved it too. We definitely want to visit again when... More

We were told about this Eatery by our motel host when we toured the National Motorcycle Museum in April, 2016. We loved this place! The bartender/server guy was really friendly and knowledgeable about all the food options. My steak was fantastic. This place is really historic in that it used to be a grocery store/butcher shop so there are blown... More

We had dinner here the end of January and were delighted. The Tuscan soup was delicious. The pizza and steaks were flavorful and not the least bit ordinary. We are from the West coast visiting family in Anamosa. We'll be back. This place is great.

We were very impressed with the quality of the food and service. The duck and fresh caught salmon were outstanding - as were the vegetables on the grill. Entrees around $20-25.
