We didn't want to take any risks after excellent cuisine in Dar Hatim and didn't regret going to L'Ambre at Riad Fes. It's a bit flatulent, as most Relais & Châteaux properties are, but good chef and reasonable selection of Moroccan wines didn't disappoint us. And the walk from/to Riad Laaroussa was short and simple, which doesn't happen often in... More

Someone at our hotel recommended this place. Once we got there we were told that they were having a tasting menu created by a famous Italian chef. We should have walked right out, as there are many good restaurants in Fes. But we didn't. It was 70 euros per person plus tip and about 8 courses, way too ambitious for... More

We decided to stay home and eat. The food was really excellent, beautifully served. Fish was fresh and spicy, the Briouat, Moroccan tapas were just what the doctor ordered.

The food was excellent and the staff extremely attentive. The 3 course meal included in the half board is very plentiful with several options. The best of it is being able to dine in the patio by the fountain with the musician playing the right type of music at the adequate volume. The atmosphere is fantastic.

Well priced for what you get: top hotel, beautiful space (the restaurant is more modern, but still holding onto Moroccan heritage) the entire hotel is gorgeous. Arrive early and choose a beautiful spot for your drink, be it the terrace if warm enough to be open, the courtyard w fountain, or the main patio by main entrance. The staff was... More

We wanted to have a very nice lamb tangine in a very nice restaurant and choose to go to this Riad Fes restaurant. It's a very beautiful expensive riad with a small dining room. We were very disappointed with our meal. I ordered the lamb tangine which came with just a blob of lamb and nothing more. They had an... More

It takes an eagle's eye or as in our case asking directions, to find this place. But it is well worth going through the trouble of doing so. The courtyard of this riad is 1001 nights meets La Floridita. The restaurant interior is modern european. Food and service were up to relais & chateaux standards: impeccable. Choosing wine to go... I was there for a drink with a friend. We sat at the bar. We had to order our drinks at the bar because no one came to take care of us. When it came time to pay we were unable to pay at the bar but had to go to reception. The person at the reception actually asked me... More

I loved sitting by the beautiful courtyard 'pool' - such a serene and beautiful site. Wonderful ambiance. Food is excellent --- they make everything they serve on site --- nothing purchased including the crackers and bread! The whole experience is perfect and the hotel itself is fantastic!

Service discrite and excellant. The food we choose had to be (being in Morocco) tagine. One a chicken, the other lamb. Both were VERY tasty, full of flavour and different textures. Recommended. One of our deserts was worthy of it's own comment - it was a lemon tart - simple I hear you say, yes as it's written simple but... More
