The best vegetable pastille that I had was here. We were treated with warm hospitality and great food in a truly charming setting. It is so great to see Moroccan owned businesses being successful and Dar Hatim is a gem.

Karima offers a warm welcome and delicious food. This was fortunately arranged by our riad Dar Roumana as it is not very big and it is very difficult to find. We had a great family meal. The pastillia is very tasty although pastry is a bit thick to me. The mechoui (slowly cooked lamb) was melting in the mouth! Ceilings... More

The restaurant is in a home and sometimes you may have to knock to get in. The interior is like being in a Morrocan palace at its very well decorated inside. Food was excellent.

We had been in Morocco for 3 days when we made our way to Fes and frankly we were ready for something different than the tajines we had been having every day. Both our travel agent and the travel guide I had been using recommended Dar Hatim so we decided to give it a try and we are so glad... More

On recommendation of our Riad we ate here for dinner, and it was well worth it. We were collected from our Riad and fed superb food. The restaurant works on a set menu basis, which makes sense since it is a home restaurant (i.e. all cooking is done by a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law team), so this enables them to ensure... Wonderful, family run restaurant deep in the Fes Medina offering authentic Moroccan food and warm hospitality. A little pricey by local standards but well worth the visit.

We were recommended this place by our tour guide when we said we wanted to find somewhere in Fes to have the local dish pastilla (chicken pie). Our guide organised it so we were picked up from our Riad and taken here for our meal and then taken back to our Riad afterwards. Very nice! We entered and instantly fell... More

This place gets a lot of good reviews so I feel a little churlish writing negatively, but there is an air of complacency about the dar Hatim. The first impression was positive enough as we were given a friendly welcome at our table (although the waitress proceeded to give an identically worded greeting to the next group, somehow spoiling the... We strongly recommend the restaurant if you want a taste of the local cuisine. The food was deliciously homecooked and the owner was very welcoming. All in all we felt like home. We thank you for a lovely time. Greetings from Romania and Syria!
