We had not had "excellent" food anywhere since arriving in Marrakesh but due to the the reviews here of this restaurant we decided to give a go. What a treat! We followed the signs off the main square and yes the last one takes you down a very dark alley but don't worry keep going - it is at the... More

We went to this restaurant because they have gluten free food. It's very out of the way. When we got there a guide from the restaurant magically appeared and led us to the restaurant. It was beautiful! There were 11 of us with no reservation and we were seated within 5 minutes. Luckily we had arrived at opening time. The... More

We visited Pepe Nero on my birthday in Marrakech. In terms of price - it is pricey for Marrakech as you can eat in the Medina very cheaply. However - as a birthday treat we wanted to go somewhere a little more high end. It was probably similar in price for what you'd expect to spend for a decent meal... More

This restaurant (hard to find by the way) offers both an Italian and Moroccan menu which was a welcome change after our many Tagines through the week. Set in a beautiful riad, the decor and surroundings are very peaceful and elegant. The food was very good, albeit slightly pricey for Italian pasta! The service was very attentive throughout the evening.... More

This is the restaurant in the Riad La Moussika. For our January visit we were seated in a covered courtyard with patio heaters or in an adjoining room. We ate here 3 times. We were offered either Italian or Morrocan menus. The food was delicious, hot and very much to our liking. Quite expensive and on a par with good... More

Tucked away down an alley, this Riad /restaurant was recommended to us by the Riad Itrane where we were staying for 7 nights. Can't fault it. Italian and traditional Moroccan food in exquisite surroundings. The Service was attentive but not intrusive - even the sparkling water was poured each time by the waiter as well as the wonderful local vino.... More

The prices are higher than most moroccan restaurants, but in exchange you get a calmer, more romantic atmosphere and a european menu. Once you get tired of tagine and couscous, you'll probably want to change things up, and Pepe Nero was the perfect place for us.

After eating tagine chicken , lamb, goats etc you need to eat something more familiar like a pasta. You also wish to have the atmosphere and good service you normally have in a Medina Riad . So Pepe Nero , is the place to go with the internal patio , the decorative water holes. But you have to find it... More

The restaurant itself really was beautiful. Very romantic and had a lovely ambiance. The staff were really friendly and whilst the service was good to begin with they were less attentive as the evening got busier. The food and wine was very very average and was over priced. Also, it's quite out of the way to get to and as... More

PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.
