I started with the title "Sumptuous setting without the attitude" because we dined inside in Feb., but I not that in warm months they serve on the rooftop. They served us a delicious, ample salad or tasty squash soup, followed by a savory chicken tagine and fresh fruit for dessert, with tea or coffee. Attentive, friendly service.

I am a well traveled 60+ female and I found this riad a complete surprise with its approach on delighting a Moroccan tourist. The riad has a clever layout with several areas to have solitude with ambience. The dinner and breakfast meal is included in the tariff and it satisfies the desire to leave Tajine, Moroccan salad, and brochettes behind... More

Dinner and breakfast were included as part of our 10-day tour in Morocco. I thought the rooftop dining at Riad d'Or in Meknes was the best meal we had in our travels - their chef did a great job. It was certainly a bonus to have dinner by lamp light with an amazing view of the city and the sound... More

My wife and I had lunch there in the roof of the Riad. Excellent Tajine. My wife had a vegetarian one and I had beef with vegetables. Very well served with wonderful view of the city. The restaurant is under new management and the employees were very friendly all time. It is certainly a very good place to stop for... More

The ryad is very beautiful (worth seeing, I must admit) but full of mosquitos. We paid 280 Dh for one plate of Harira soup (a bit thin and not too tasty, I have eaten better ones in the 6-10 Dh range in cheap places in Morocco) one small plate of a nice moroccan salad, one big tangine of tasty chicken... We are finding it exceptionally hard to find restaurants that are open during Ramadan in Meknes. To help others out this is closed during Ramadan. I have put a high review based on others rather then lowering it just because they are closed.

We had a late gourmet Moroccan dinner here. They brought out a course after the appetizers (which we thought was the main course) and we were all very satisfied. Suddenly they bring out more dishes with the main course! It was incredible, we were all so full and the food was unbelievably good! The atmosphere was very unique and made... More

On our trip to Marocco we had not had the pleasure of tasting the original kafta. As i was travelling with my Moroccan mother in law we were looking for the real local cuisine. Upon our request (well in advance) the restaurant fitted out a bbq in the garden to cook the delicious thumb size meatballs. Served with some cauliflower... More
