If you have a passion for live music, this is the place to hang out in Harare. Some cheap food is also available but the music experience is unforgettable.

The best place to meet, dance, eat and drink with a diversity of cultural backgrounds! Here is the place to dissolve all your fatigue, put on your dancing shoes and dance to the ever popular local and traditional mbira music. With the likes of Mawungira Enharira, upcoming young artists and several local vibes, you surely will have the true feel... More

Loved the atmosphere, the food and especially the music. I can see why it's known as one of the Harare hot spots for musicians.

Great place. Mbira paradise. The staff is friendly and helpful. Hector is a joy to work when organising functions. If you're in Harare this is the place to be!

Book cafe is my favorite place for shows and concerts. Almost every night they have something cool happening. They also serve food, mainly pub fare, like chips, pizza and the odd steak. Food was nice, but music is the reason I keep coming back.

I attending a prestigious function here, featuring readings by a group of celebrated young African writers who had been shortlisted for the 2014 Caine Africa prize. The venue was packed but bar service was good. Beers were a little overpriced, but the ambience was good. Its laidback with no fancy frills but offers good local entertainment.

This place is spoken of highly, so I checked it out one night for myself. The popular band Makoomba was playing, so the whole place was packed and moving to the beat. It is a great place to hear some local sounds. There were plenty of chairs available to take a rest and the pizza was delish. Like most places... More
