Sunday finding free beach chairs in a restaurant on the beach in Luanda is a rather difficult task, so after our favourites were full we found three places in Miami.. I guess we could have known why there was still space available. Compared to the other restaurants on the Ilha I believe Miami gives you one of the worst value... More

Lived in Luanda for a number of years and go back a few times during the year. Miami Beach has always been the place to kick back. It has a very relaxing, hip atmosphere to it and sits directly on the beach. It is one of the places on the beach that seems to make you feel as if you... More

Went here for lunch and was happily surprised. While its not one of the shiny new places to eat in Luanda, I found it still very pleasant. Pretty much every seat has a view of the ocean and while the service wasn't great, it wasn't terrible either. Something you quickly learn to appreciate here! I was with a group of... More

On the beach close to the end of the strip of land off Luanda city, still called "Ilha" even though not an island any more. Spacious and comfortably quiet on a Tuesday evening. Somwhat disorganised service, as appears to be the "norm" here, but the lobster was good and reasonably priced, a good choice of beer. Not great (rather depends... More

Thursday nights are live music, with excellent prices for drinks. And unbeatable 5 USD equivalent for a caipirinha is rare in Luanda and the drinks are excellent. Food is ok, but nothing amazing. Recommended if you want to have fun, also in case you just decide to go out alone, it is an excellent location to make new friends.

Works mainly with special parties on the weekend. The space is grea, all in white painted wood with themed decoration based on the them of the party. Carnival party is one of the greatest of the year.

It was one of the best places in Luanda. Talking about food, shows and beach. It is now almost "abandoned". Toilets are dirty, smelly, sometimes no water!! What's going on there?

Often there in 2010, but now is nose-diving. But worth for "Arroz with Mariscos" (Rice and seafood cook together), the best in the city
