Went on a Wednesday night when they have live music. Very cool place, great vibe. Food is good but limited to snacks. The beer is cold and they have local cocktails as well. Not for those who don't enjoy crowded and loud places.

Small things they say pack a punch and that aptly describes The Republic. The main bar area is small and often crowded so i recommend you order with the waiters and be prepared for a a little wait but it is worth it. A must have drink here is their signature Kokroko. Week nights they host various musicians and bands... More

Loud music and Karaoke on certain days. Good mix of people from locals to foreigners. Cocktails here are not too expensive but very strong. It is not clean at all. The waitresses are friendly but clearly overworked. Can get very busy, If you are looking for a place to meet people, this is the place.

The place is located at a bit of a dodgy location. Always a lot of people though, lots of tourists. It's a cool place to get a drink and meet someone new. Has a DJ on weekends and music is always loud. Not the best for a conversation, but good for dancing.

A great bar. Some small dishes with local food. A great card with some beautifull cocktail with local alcoholl. I have a lot of fun and I expect to be there soon. Music is pretty cool too. A place to go.

I've been here a few times, but never tried the food. The beer selection is ordinary, but they have mixed drinks, though everything is overpriced. You're paying for the clientele, really. You're bound to meet interesting people from all over the world. (Also, be sure to pay as you drink; the wait staff tried to memorize what I had ordered... More

The Republics atmosphere varies from a quaint after work secret chill out spot, to a bustling local & cheap cocktail bar on weekends. They have wonderful Mojitos and Caipirinhas at an amazingly affordable price, not to mention delicious meals that you just wouldn't find anywhere in Accra. The décor is refreshingly vintage and the attention to detail is commendable, with basic hard wood round tables and stools that fit perfectly to make a long bench if you so wish and period magazine and newspaper cut outs on the walls, the inside of The Republic is quirky and definitely for the grown-and sexy.
