Ok so you don't come to Tana for sushi but as I stopped in for tea and saw that Ikura (salmon roe) was on the menu (my favorite) I could not resist. Unfortunately the roe was bad and very smelly. I was offered a desert as compensation. The jasmine tea was great, nicely presented and service nice and friendly.

Probably among the best restaurants in Antananarivo. The food was great, and so was the price. The only complaint I have is about the waiting time.

Excellent food. You get what you pay for. Had superb sushi. Be sure to bang the gong on your way to the bathroom. Traditional Chinese Gong. Enjoy

I was at Hediard last night. Food is good in general, though nothing out of this world - and for such an expensive restaurant, the bread was really mediocre. I find this restaurant really overpriced though, and that may be why there aren´t so many clients.

I was very agreeably surprised by Hediard. The food deserves five stars, not only because it is very good but also it is presented without any false pretensions. I had one of the best steak tartares I have ever eaten and the chips too were perfect - slightly larger than French fires, crisp and golden on the outside and soft... More

Stopped for coffee. Decided to try croissant and house-made yogurt. Everything was good. If you love coffee this is where to buy it (to brew it at home, in the menu the selection was none). The menu for the first large hall is reasonable, going to the actual restaurant area the pricing starts to bit a little, but not too... More

It surprised us to find an international chain restaurant in Tana. The rather plain exterior belies the very modern interior. The menu featured traditional French cuisine and sushi. We tried some of both and enjoyed the meal. The staff was friendly and professional. It is easy to see why Hediard is so popular in Tana.

Was the best meal we had in Madagascar and by far the fanciest restaurant. We both had 3 courses and they were all excellent. Unfortunately it is not open Monday nights so we only got to go the once.

OK, so this is a chain restaurant, but let me assure you, it's a great one. The ambiance is perfect, the food is exquisite. It's small and pretty -- so book ahead.

I had only one opportunity so far to have a dinner at Hediard but I could immediately realise the place is worthy to try. As you enter the place professional waiters welcome you and make you immediately feel comfortable by sitting on some armchairs while having an aperitif. Once you get in the main room, you understand it is a... More
