If you want to have a real chinese experience in Mauritus and to taste nice things without selling a member of your family to pay the bill, you should go there.

We went to Grand Canton at Port Louis for lunch as it came highly recommended. The restaurant is nice, though the food is only average. We ordered Char Siew, Tofu and a vegetable dish. The dishes were OK, but not great. The service was really great though because the waitress was very attentive and helpful.

We went for the third time, but the Dim Sum chef has left the country for a few month .. We appreciate the honest answer and prefered not having Dim sum instead of "replacement" of some kind. We did complain first seing the half duck (we're used of the half bird) because it was already cut and looked small, but... More

We spent 2 nights in Port Loius to take in the city life and what it has to offer, especially in the culinary front. We where somewhat disappointed with the limited variety of restaurants in the city. The hotel we stayed at, Labourdonnais recommended that we try Grand Canton. I recommend that you take a taxi as the restaurant is... More

Apart from the food, nothing really pleased me. the waiter and waitress really have NO skills at all. They really do not know how to serve customers nor how to talk to customers at all but the great food covers that all. I don't know why the owners have employed unskilled workers. i don't blame the latters at all i... More

I enjoyed that it was a limited menu. The tofu w/pork was very good. The chicken with onions was delicious. The garlic shrimp and butter were a little oily but the shrimp was good. It comes with the shells on. It would be better without the shells. The fish is tasty and I usually don't care for fish much. The... More
