Piri-piri is a tradition dating to before the revolution in 1975. It is a great place to sit and watch the city. Piri-piri chicken is a must have when in Mozambique, but the restaurant has many other traditional dishes. I had a chicken curry that was delicious. The heat of the dishes can be adjusted to taste. Service was good... More

Piri Piri is an icon in Maputo, one of the very few resturants that has stood the test of time. Whether for a meal or drinks with friends it is centrally situated and has the traditional Portuguese side walk table atmosphere as well as tables inside. Known for piri piri grilled chicken but offering a variety of other dishes as... More

The name says it all. This little place has the best frango piri piri in Maputo. You don't wear the golden boots unless you're the best player!

Fascinated how they cook fried chicken not so salty and no strong spicy added at very affordable price. Chips weren't good so didn't try too many.

Must try when in Maputo...good service, good helpings..if you are a not great water one into two is ideal...vinho da casa was good too...but be careful of the hangers on outside the place....but can also get a good bargain for necklaces...

I have visited this restaurant before and the food has always been awesome... wonderful prawns and chicken... This time was very disappointing as the food was not very nice. Prawns were small and tasteless... drenched in butter . A pity as this restaurant is a landmark and has a reputation for simple but excellent food.

This Maputo institution is a must try for its piri piri prawns or chicken whilst in the city. Service is friendly and efficient - my waitress welcomed me with a big smile. You can take a seat in the old school interior for the vibrant atmosphere or sit outside for some serious people watching (but you may get some hassle... More

The used to be famous piripiri restaurant from old LM or even Maputo times no longer. The service quality makes it annoying and then the quality expectation finishes on the negative. I love Maputo I hate lowing quality for no reason

Go there if there is no other place to go. Their famous "Frango à Piri-Piri" is not what it used to be. Its location obeys the "Location Location Location" factor, but, that's about it!
