If you like fish, this is the place for you! They show you what types of fresh fish they have, and they serve it the way you want it. Very pleasant restaurant. Choose a table in the front area. Make reservations, the place is very popular.

We went here for lunch before heading to the airport. The restaurant is clean, has a nice shaded patio, and great food. It also has an extensive wine list. Service was good. We left our car parked outside and it was nice to have an attendant watching over it. Overall a pleasant experience.

Here you can be assured to always receive good food and service. The traditional Portuguese dishes are mouth-watering.

I truly recommend this place, the best seafood, I had in a while, the portions are extremely generous, and the food is fresh and tasty.

There was a time when O Portuga was one of my favorite restaurant mainly because they had delicious seafood in particularly the seafood kebab but this last year we went three times and each time was a disappointment. There is always something missing on the menu mainly in the seafood category and often the seafood kebab, the service is terribly... More

We visited the O portuga on a monday night and many of the dishes were not available. The food was bland and the only dish we had worth trying is the seafood pasta. But we only had fishdishes, mabye the are better with meat? The service was friendly but rather slow. And the waitress did not give the right information... More

I went back again because the fish and the veggies tested yummy. I enjoyed both lunches I had at this restaurant. I would recommend it to everyone who visits Windhoek.

Have had lunch at oPortuga three times over the past month. Dishes that we enjoyed most were the fresh whole fish, butterfly grilled. Tasty and quite pleasant with Vegetables on the side, steamed and not greasy. Portuguese sausage style chorizo was also quite tasty. Service is friendly and efficient. Restaurant is not far from city centre (about 5 minutes by... More

Having spent a few days in the Namib Desert came into Windhoek looking for some decent food before hopping on a plane. O'Portuga did not disappoint at all. Both of us (my companion had been before) opted for the seafood kebab. Beautifully fresh, extremely juicy and hit the spot before the flight back to Europe. The service wasn't super speedy... More
