After getting turned down at Le Chateau, we ended up here. A bit qurious how the service and the food would be. We had a fantastic experiance; the owner Stella came and greeted us and served us wine...they only have one kind... so we where a bit sceptic.. but it was great..My wife ordered lamb chops and Ime the steak... The meat is really good, the service is poor unless the owner of the place is around. Sometimes you need to ask the waiters if you can please order (while they are sitting and playing with their phone). Anyways, the food is always good! Proper steaks with fries or mashed, it is always good. If you want your steak medium... More

Fantastic steaks cooked perfectly. Busy roadside location and rustic surroundings surpassed by great food.

Le Petit Bistro is a nice and cozy little restaurant along Ggaba road (very and always trafficked). It has its own parking space which is excellent. The Bistro does need some minor renovations internally (a simple coat of paint would do to make it look cleaner). The cushions on the wooden chairs are usually dirty, need washing and or replacement.... More

Le Petit Bistro is one of the longer standing restaurants in Kampala. Run by the lovely Stella, who often still graces the place it is renowned as one of the best steak houses in town. The two items I recommend any traveler trying is the French Onion soup and Steak done which ever way you like it. The only warning... More

The food's good. Love the beef steak with mash but the waiting time is way too long. I don't especially think much to the location as it is right next to a very busy road in Kansanga and the staff are hopeless if Im allowed to say that. On two occasions, they have even forgotten my order and prefer to... More

This restaurant has not kept up compared to what it was a few years ago. Had a roesti and it was dripping in oil and my friend had a steak smothered in white sauce-ugh. The spring rolls are still good with a nice sauce. Even though we were in the non smoking area we were inundated with smoke.

A nice and quiet restaurant. Service is good and very friendly. I loved the steak and the whole Telapia fish grill. The price of the food is very reasonable compared to the service. A true value for money.

This was our second trip in 8 years, so not exactly regulars. The steak was excellent, not had better anywhere! The let down was the vegetarian curry - really poor! But we will go back - there is much good about this restuarant that we blame ourselves for a poor choice. Brilliant value!
