Really enjoyed this restaurant. The food is European, Belgian actually, so don't expect any African influences. Also a good selection of wines. We had the steak and although it wasn't the most tender steak ever, the taste was very good. I should mention that I could smell the fish dish from another table and it didn't smell very fresh. Personally... More

I had always wanted to try this restaurant out, finally the opportunity presented itself. The service was lovely, I loved the ambience and food. I especially loved their cheese cake. It was awesome. The second time around, the service wasn't all that, no attention to detail and to make it worse, the food as well. The tea was not hot... More

A good place to go foe fine dining when you have time but you have to either book or go on time as they close in the mid afternoon after usual lunch hours.

Well designed place with spacious parking, with good food but too highly prized for what it actually is.

So once a month they serve imported mussels in a delicious sauce just the way they do in Belgium! It's an absolute treat. Sometimes their live band can be too loud, but service is usually good.

So-called first class restaurant "Le Château" is average and overpriced, with personnel not trained (= not well paid?) who don't know what they're doing. Breakfasts are good though (bread from "La Pâtisserie"). + some of the food is frozen I think, or at least shrimps tasted like it. Also for some reason there are two "Le Château" restaurant with the... More

Foods are dependent on your tastes and pocket! Meets more of in terminational tastes, but locals can survive if you have a few more shillings to spend. The ambience is simple great despite being close to a major/busy road. Le Chateau is conveniently situated in Kabalagala along Gaba road, about 5 - 10 minutes walk from the American Embassy. I... Enjoyed a fantastic meal with family and friends with main meals of fillet steak, duck, and fish. Tasty and good sized portions. i personally recommend the succulent medium cooked fillet steak.

Went again as everyone is talking about the good food.... Yes the menu is European style and attractive but it's too expensive and again there is nothing special with the food ! No taste at all... I even do better in my kitchen ! Sorry. You can actually find better place in town and paid less money !!! The service... More
