Honestly, took our hosts from Taipei to this restaurant after a recommendation from a California chef - the food blew my 18 year old son and I away. Don't ask me what our local hosts ordered, but the dumplings in broth were fabulous, the beef noodle soup outstanding (the best we had in Taiwan after many outings - the broth... More

Jin Din Rou. Looks like you know what, tastes like it, and even shares the same Chinese character too. Besides the excellent siao lung bao and all the other dumplings, the menu also offers a good selection of local Taiwanese dishes.

Decided to visit this restaurant on the rebound from another that opened too late for breakfast, and we're pleased we did! That steamer of xiaolongpao was pure heaven, and surely as good as any in more "high flying" restaurants. It was intended to be a light breakfast, but 10 xiaolongpao, 10 siew mai , a large bowl of beef noodle... More

We Chose that Dumpling Restaurant for our Last evening as we like Chinese Food. We had to wait a Few Minutes but it was well Worth it. The Fried Greens, VEG Dumplings, Fried shrimp with pineapple were Great. Short Waiting Time for meals. Tea for free. Prices ok. A Reccomendation !

Just had dinner there with my family on the recommendation of our hotel but was really disappointed. The xiao long bao was decent but everything else we ordered was no good. The prawn shao mei had tasteless prawns and meat that doesn't taste fresh with very thick skin, the pork chop egg fried rice is flat with no fragrance, the... More

Some excellent tong bao. They come in 10, so if you want to try the oolong tea tong bao, you'll have 20 baos to contend with. Excellent cold dishes too, which are not on the menu, so ask the waitress. Lunch closes 2:30pm, last orders 2pm.

If you don't have too much time, I would recommend this place over Dingtaifeng. The main chef used to work at DTF, so you can expect the same quality, and cheaper as well. It may be a bit hard to find, but it is worth the walk.

Jin Din Rou opens late, as matter of the fact, it's where the night life is. Nearby there is also a movie theater so we went there for dinner before going to the movies. We ordered the hot and sour soup with dumplings pork chop noodle and some veggies. Overall the service was good, and the food were all right.... More

This is one the best restaurant for the little buns. Great service, clean space, and delivious food at a reasonable price range. I recommend this place for all visitors and even local people.
