Read a lot about this place but unfortunately did not live up to its name. What made it worse was the rude and impatient staff which was quite a big difference to the warm taiwanese hospitality we have been receiving throughout our trip. Visited the...cafe on the 2 Dec, waited 15mins for a table. The waitress in the photo started throwing wet towels on our table as soon as we were seated. Felt really taken aback and when we queried about the items in the menu, just 2-3 questions and she started being very impatient, rude and was not helpful at all. I can almost see her rolling her eyes. Food and drinks were also mediocre. Definitely not worth the visit and will not return again.More
A small local coffee cafe that opened since 1956. Very traditional design, not many seats inside. Prices are very very affordable one. Strongly recommend you try their homemade Walnut cookies. Really good taste. Remember, they accept Cash only.
Lovely place that has been around since the 1950s, coffee was amazing and lots of beans that you can take home. If you have time, its the kind of place you read a paper at. Otherwise, get some interesting biscuits to takeaway.
Extremely poor service. Rush to collect the menu without waiting. Receipt was dropped in the desk without saying anything.
Fans Da Coffee (蜂大咖啡) was a small cafe in Taipei, Taiwan and it had been around for many decades. The seating was uncomfortable. The cafe was crowded. The menu had many coffee options. The coffee was just average. The customers were allowed to sit up...to 60 minutes. This was not my kind of place to enjoy a cup of coffee.More
There are so many cafe's around this area. The first one I tried was Fong Da Coffee. I mainly came here for breakfast and a coffee. They have western style breakfasts that are very cheap. Their breakfast menu had a few different sets to select...from, I had ham and eggs with toast and a coffee, all for about 4 USD. They also have more higher end coffee and tea and other food items. The staff was pleasant and the atmosphere was nice. I would come here again for breakfast and a coffee.More
Tried the F.D Blend, pleasantly surprised! Balanced, nutty and leaves a great aftertaste. The walnut cookie was crisp and sweet. Great for tea time. Definitely revisiting this place for more.
I have been going to this coffee several times and for sure every time I want a good long espresso. It's one of the best in town and they know how to make espresso, machiado and other special coffees. They also have a variety of...great cookies.More
Walked in for an early for a cup of coffee. The place is tiny but with lots of local eating breakfast in the morning. Somehow this coffee shop is very famous which I only found out later. Atmosphere is good. The price is very reasonable.
Be there early to avoid queue. Stay limited to one hour. Great value breakfast set with house coffee. Traditional biscuits can be bought and eaten in cafe. Visit recommended.
This shop served great coffee. Recomended for their ice-cream coffee. Limited food choices especially after breakfast time. This shop usually quite busy. Worth to dropby for a cup of coffee to refresh your day.
Being a coffee lover this was a must see for me, and the place lives up to its expectations with its old school look and equipment from a different generation. However, the fanciest coffee they had (300 TWD. Do not remember the name.) was ok....It is definently good as my coffee hating girlfriend didn't spit it out, but it is not spectacular when you factor in the price. The milkshake is also horrendous so stick with the coffee.More
My friends and I passed by Fong Da in the morning on a walking tour and saw a line and smelled amazing coffee. We vowed to come back in the afternoon after our tour. I bought a couple of bags of different coffee beans (their...Fong Da blend, charcoal roasted, and an espresso blend) it was relatively affordable. The service is quick since there are a lot of people who come by. We didn't get to try the coffee and desserts so that's for another time.More
Mostly locals in this coffee shop. Plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. Very comfortable place to sit and visit with friends or work on a computer if you do not need WiFi which is NOT offered. Drinks are reasonably priced and are good
