We've been here for dinner expect tasty food, quick service and nice environment. But what we found was dirty tables and some discarded food were in the floor. No staff were taking care of this. Also outside kitchen was EXTREMELY DIRTY. I won't come again.

Like most really good places to eat in Thailand the interior is not very appealing. But they fully compensate for with their splendid food. Not the standard tourist menu, but with very interesting dishes, quite a lot of seafood choices. The flavors are absolutely wonderful. The green curry is a just try. Do watch out, things are not spiced down... More

Don't be surprised if you have to wait. Regardless, it'll be worth it. Many of the tables are community tables. The menu comes with pics, but luckily we went with my cousin and how wife who is Thai. Two especially delicious dishes not to miss, the crab omelet in a dome shape and a vegetable with minced pork. The vegetable... More

I went here while on vacation. The food was good but it was clear from the beginning that they were not happy about me being there. They sat two Thai couples before me even though they showed up after I did. It took a half hour to even get someone to give me a menu. While I waited, there were... More

We popped in for a small lunch on a busy day. Most diners were Thai - and the place feels pretty authentic and non-touristy. Menu was in English though - and plenty of tasty things on it. Much better value than a lot of the other places we've eaten - and as many reviewers had pointed out - the curried... More

Good amount of food for each dish( we ordered around 10) and the quality was amazing, very close to Khao San road but such a different environment, old style and cool. Prices very reasonable, would highly recommend.

The Samsen Rd location was full of locals; no tourists in sight. The food was very authentic. I requested no spicy food and the request was met; my food had the peppers etc. missing. Those who are overly concerned about service are better off going to a touristy place to eat. I had the deep fried Barrimundi and fried chicken... More

the place a bit hard to reach, you definitely need a taxi. the food is fantastic! my parents agreed wholeheartedly and they are very hard to reach mutual agreement. we had their famous crab meat, fried fish, the crab omelette, veg and tom yum gung. their crab dishes, fried fish are a must eat! its chunky and yummy!

This restaurant is a real Thai one, full of locals. Simple dishes, tasty and genuine. A bit difficult to digest for European people maybe :), but it is definitely worth it. Not too pricy (just a bit more than usual) and nice selection. Service is ok, basic but good for the vacation mood. Pity they had no more coconut sorbet..... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
