I am writing this out of my sense of duty, to help others. I have never written reviews. A month ago I was a happy and tired tourist at the end of a temple visit day. My wife and I and other couple headed to chinatown to eat and to see the golden budha. I insisted in eating duck. The... More

Love every single dishes they serve. It's highly recommend if u come in a group of 7 to 10 per table and order their full course set. The taste & the service r so consistent. My family & I hv been dining at this restaurant for more than 18 yrs & we still keeps coming back. So if u r... More

We stayed in the amazing Shanghai Mansion Hotel which is moments away from this restaurant and which also recommends it in their guest's guide. Frankly speaking the worst of the chinese takeaways in the UK will offer a more memorable experience than this place. To start with we were only two couples in the place at that time so we... More

The Rough Guide gave this place a good write up, I have no idea why. We came for lunch in late October. The overly bright lighting and picture-book menus should have been a tip off of things to come. The service was terrible, from non caring and non present wait-staff, to tiny paper napkins, and a ton of bad attitude... More

Had lunch there today during a visit to Chinatown in Bangkok. Passable Chinese cuisine, nothing memorable or special. Had mostly dim sum but a few other items they made fresh. The service was quite good, it seemed that one man and his family were in charge. The dim sum was ok, not great, I have had better and more authentic... More

We went for lunch and ordered dim sum, roast duck and the shar fin soup. The dim sum was excellent, I measure it by the spare ribs in black bean sauce, which were the best I have had anywhere so far. The only downside is that the shark fin soup was very slow to arrive, so we ended up cancelling... More

An out style Chinese restaurant in china town. food is ok. avoid the plates they come around with food that has been sitting outside. the al la carte stuff isn't bad and the prices are on the cheap side. obviously they are used to foreign tourists with easy to read menus

Was advertised in Lonely planet. did not have access to tripadvisor. such a bad experience never again. we arrived lateish for lunch, round 1430h, to be honest. but: poor service, they served three steamed ravioli. they looked three days old, and tasted old. I never do it, but we had to leave after the first two dishes, gently asking for... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
