Across Wireless Road from Lumphini Park, you have to try this place. The chicken is amazing, the laab moo is also great. The service is fast. Great for kids. Great for takeout if you're staying nearby or want to eat in the park. I've been to bangkok five times and we also make time for a trip to Polo Fried... More

Nothing fancy, but delicious, cheap local food and cold beer. 4 adults and 4 kids total around $35 for plenty of food and beer. Make sure you get at least 1 whole chicken with extra fried garlic and the papaya salad. Friendly, English-speaking service, too.

This restaurant was listed in a "Bangkok Street Food" book so I decided to try it. The specialty, fried chicken, papaya salad, and sticky rice looked easy and mild enough for my 7 and 9 year old. (I am always happy to try new flavors but when traveling with kids I lean toward safer, tried and true flavors.) Everything was... More

Listening to friends about where to eat can be bad and good I guess...in this case we were told the fried chicken was good and garlic-y...so, being a fan of garlic I decided to try the garlic fried chicken...and I was happy with the outcome...crispy, and plenty of garlic...hot, not dry and a full half chicken...we had morning glory (good... I rate this very good but only if you happen to be in the area and looking for some authentic Thai Isaan food (crispy pork, broiled chicken, sum thai (papaya salad), sticky rice. It's good but honestly there are lots of places around that serve very similar (like a place on Soi Convent just off Silom Road). This place is... More

Nothing super flash, good food and nice service. May need a Thai friend to help you order but other than that will be worth your money!

The chicken was dry. Surprising for a place that supposedly specializes in it. For better chicken go to Sabai Jai in Ekkamai. Prices are similar but food quality is much better, and they have many more choices. That's what I wish I'd done today.

I have been to many different fried chicken restaurants but this one has to be one of the best. The amazing chicken is only one of many different items on the menu served here and is supplemented by the cheery staff and friendly atitude of the place as a whole.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
