Now (also?) called Buddy's, this came highly recommended by our Thai Guide. We were about the only non-Thai people in there, which I generally think is a good thing. We started with three starters to share, then a red, and a green curry. Service was good, but really was taken by the quality, range, and taste of the food. At... More

This is a great location on the river with a nice view. You can sit on the patio next to the river or in an air conditioned room. Some of the food was good, but none of it was excellent. And the dessert was terrible which is not a good way to end the meal.

This place was my all time favorite.. Great view, great music, tasty food... Recommended to anyone that is looking for a nice relaxing lunch or dinner. This was along the river so you get to see and hear the water flowing. If you make it in time you could even have dinner on the boat.

We wanted a treat and our hotel concierge recommended this place. It was a short tuk tuk from the Chillax hotel. A large international class restaurant, not your cheap road side place here. Bang on the river with a large cruise boat moored off its own jetty. It is in the shadow of the wonderful ramen 8 bridge with its... More

Took some friends out who had come to visit was a huge mistake, it may have been an off day though because my Wife has eaten here before and said it was fantastic. The food came out very fast and the service was very good but unfortunately the food was tasteless. I don't think I will come here again.

Treat yourself good!!! you deserve it! You are at the right place for that: delicious food, fresh fishes, seafood, and much more too. The atmosphere is so nice here, by the Chao Praya river. Relaxing! Not to forget, the lovely, friendly -efficient manager. Live acoustic bands every night. So...eat, drink, and even sing!!! You will remember it for sure! Enjoy-Enjoy!!! Alain.... More

Follow the locals and find your way here. It has a lovely riverview, very good seafood and is a perfect choice for dinner. No frills and friendly staff.

It is said to be a seafood restaurant, it is one, but there is a huge gap between the food and my desires to enjoy some decent meals for those prices which are not low. Deep fried see bass was no different from McDonalds fillet-o-fish, steamed see bass lacks some lemons and strikes senses with strong garlic taste, which is... More

Our local friends took us to this waterfront restaurant to enjoy the evening breeze and the view of the Rama VIII bridge. The restaurant is not fancy but very pleasant and the staff we very attentive. We had a wide variety of seafood dishes and ate way too much. If you're looking for food that is very good and in... Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
