Vivi is cozy place, with loveseats, tall wooden tables, a few books and magazines in the shelves, and a menu that consists of coffees, milkshakes, pastries and pasta. Coffee is not exceptional but good, and the staff are really friendly and accomodating. The cafe’s veranda has a prime view of Wat Arun, such a good spot for sunset viewing. I... More

I spend Vivi The Coffee Place in the Saturday evering to see sunset on Chao Praya river. It's very romatic and ideal place because after long walk in the old city, you can break, take a drink beside the river.

Stumbled upon this place trying to escape the Grand Palace chaos and loved it! Great menu of refreshing drinks with a beautiful view of a few Wat and various boats going up and down the river. You can choose between air conditioning or fresh air. The furniture is trendy and comfortable. The entire place is non smoking!

Its very good that there a coffee place overlooking Wat Arun that is not crowded. The view is breathtaking and their food and drink selection is fairly good, inexpensive. The only downpart is there was no wifi when we visited it last June 10, 2016 but we were there to enjoy the view and the moment to disconnect from the... More

The coffee shop located inside the small alley. There's not parking. So I'd recommend to take a cap or Tuk Tuk to come here. In front of the alley is. CIMB bank. Then you walk inside which is not far and you can see the sign from the front of the alley. There're both indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor would... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
