Celebrating my son's birthday, the Waitress was very informative and gave excellent recommendations. To sum up, their top of the line Australian Wagyu Tenderloin ordered rare was superb. My Ribeye was also perfectly cooked and tasted great. However, my brother's Tenderloin was overcooked to close to medium as he likes it medium rare so did not enjoy it at all. Lastly, my wife comment on her Lambchop that it was also overcooked, not medium rare as ordered and tasted a bit bland as it was not seasoned enough. May they needed more time as it was just recently reopened from the Covid 19. I commend the Service team as they asked what occasion was it and sent out a nice single plate of candle lit cakes and deserts. Overall, it was too pricey for what you received but would return only if invited.

What An Amazing Dining Experience!
From start to finish the whole dining experience was magnificent! When we arrived at the restaurant, we were escorted to a choice of two tables - one closer to the live jazz band and the other slightly further but quieter. We chose the quieter table.
The atmosphere is very romantic with lightly dimmed lights and nicely spread out tables - perfect for a date with your partner.
Menu wise, they have lots to choose from however I seriously recommend their steaks. We ordered 300 grams of the Australian Wagyu Ribeye and wow it was simply amazing! One of the best steaks I ever ate before. The avocado carpaccio was super tasty as was their signature
Caesars Salad.
Their wine list was also extensive enough without being over confused as to what to order.
I would like to specially mention Khun Melanie who I believe is the Assistant Manager. She took care of us from the start to the end, and the level of service from her was impeccable.
10/10 would go back.

Bit of a late post but this surely deserved a write up so here it is
From the moment we entered The District Grill & Bar, we were treated so well that it felt like we had come here for ages. To begin with we were warmly welcomed with a beautiful smile by Aun, the restaurant Manager and her entire team.
To begin with we were served with a variety of delicious fresh bread, which was served with an assortment of olive oil. This was very interesting indeed. Later we were served with the amuse bouche which was also very good.
We ordered an appetizer of Avocado which was indeed very refreshing and tasted really good. Then we moved on to the seafood and the steak!
We were overwhelmed with the food and the fresh seafood on display, among which we tried the different kinds of fresh oysters and thought that these were the best oysters we had tasted in Bangkok, and yes we visit Bangkok at least once or twice a year!
The steak was fantastic as well and you can even choose your own knife from their knife collection which is a very nice touch. It was perfectly medium, just the way we like it and the sauces were extremely good as well. The mashed potato simply melted in our mouth and was yummilicious as well.
We ordered a mocktail and beer and the mango mocktail’s unique flavor is still lingering in my mouth for which also I simply can’t wait to go back.
We simple can’t wait to go back and want to also give a huge shout out to the beautiful restaurant manager Aun, who made it our dinner extra special. A huge shout out to our servers Ju and Preme as well. Do look for them when you go there. And last but not the least, the very talented bartender who made my mocktail and blew my taste buds away.
We were celebrating our Anniversary but didn’t mention that while booking but when Aun got to know that, we were served with complimentary sweets/desserts as well.
Aun- We already fell in Love with how you manage everything in the restaurant and
We just can’t wait to come back for sure!!

First of all the food we got was delicious, no arguments there. But other aspects made the meal less than ideal, for us. I appreciate different people have different preferences and priorities.
The table that was reserved for us was next to the live music which was too loud to allow easy conversation, luckily there was another table available near the door but it's something to consider when booking.
The menu had changed since our last visit. There are now no vegetarian options. (We came for husband's traditional birthday steak, but I'm veggie). They will take the meat out of some dishes, but in 2020 that seems like a pretty poor option. Choosing to not eat meat is no longer a niche idea. In the end I had sides - which were tasty.
Likewise we were disappointed the restaurant only serves imported water. Like others we try to minimise our unneeded environmental impact so don't buy imported water. There was no option for a water jug or even local bottled water.
The staff kindly arranged a birthday dessert for us.

Most definitely The District Restaurant is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. I loved the bread and butter set seved with 4 types of olive oil and a suggestion how to eat it. We ordered Australian Wagyu Steak, seared hokkaido scallop, Suid ink risotto, Ceasar Salad and Seafood Tower. Every dish is presented with seeming simplicity, super nice and it was extremely high standards of care have been taken in the preparation. Staff are freindly and attentive.
I want to to give a big thank you to" Aun" for all food recomemdations with a nice cocktails and wine pairing to me and my husband. We will definately be back when we visit Bangkok next time.

Set menu was poor, and there was no flexibility on the menu.
There was a salmon macaroni cheese dish on the menu, but when we asked for a plain Mac & cheese this was not possible.
Waited ages for a French onion soup starter.
How difficult can that be to make??
Overpriced for a set menu.

We ordered fresh oysters, squid ink risotto, and a big piece of rib eye steak. Oyster was very fresh but that's kinda a given at any good restaurant.
The risotto, i was skeptical at first, but once arrived it was perfectly cooked like those from a restaurant in Italy or France, and this isnt even their highlight dish.
The Steak was PERFECT.
However, how I usually judge a chef or a restaurant's skill is thru the side dishes. It really speaks of how much importance and care the restaurant really put into each dish for the customer.
We ordered the sauteed mushroom. That was amazing. Not only that, but the mash potato that comes with the steak was also amazing.
Only down side for me was that the Chimichurri sauce was not to my liking, I feel it could use a bit more cilantro in there as currently it's tasted a bit too musky.
Services was also very good from k. Sun, Luk Mee (LM), and k. Dear.
Overall - 10/10 for me

Decided to hit up the District after months of quarantine and boy, was I impressed! As for someone who's been stuck in Thailand for the past few months, I feel that this joint is as close to a decent steakhouse I'd get back home in California.
We were taken care of by K.An, K.Aut, and K.Ju the whole evening and we appreciated how the service was -- very attentive but not overbearing. Given that we're in a pandemic, I'd like to point out that they took safety and hygiene standards seriously. I was a bit sad that I couldn't choose my steak knife this time but I understood why :)
We were seated near the open kitchen so it was fun to see the live cooking station. And because of the virus, there’s no live music but that was fine since I had a lot to catch up with my friend.
The menu was limited but it's understandable since they just reopened a few weeks ago. I ordered an Australian wagyu ribeye steak for myself while my friend opted for the lamb chops. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and of course, tender! The truffled mac and cheese was fantastic as well. Unfortunately, they didn't have truffle oil so I couldn't order truffled mashed potatoes but the plain one was very good and creamy.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience. I’ll definitely come back here again when they offer their brunch again. Thank you so much!

When ever I get a chance to visit Bangkok, me and my partner would always come to dine here at the dristict grill. We start the night by having a couple G & T and cocktails at the rooftop ( Octave ) which is great atmosphere and nice breeze. When it is suitable timing we would make our way down to the restaurant which is very convience just to take the elevator down.
The front of staff would greet us with warm welcome and show us through to the table. If it's not a busy night we would get a choice of table. In this case the restaurant was pack and we were shown to the table right in the main room where there's live music playing. We love it , it was really a romantic evening.
The evening was great. Sorry as we are creatures of habit we would always order the same starter and main course. We would start off with prosecco with oyster. Then beef tarter and Tuna tarter. I had steaks and the lady had lamb option. I can't fault the food. It is always delicious and first class every time.
( if your a meat lover, I would recommend the Beef tarter. Top dish absolutely delicious )
What's even better was the service you get is fantastic. P'Ju She was very friendly , very kind. Always smiling and she even remeber our name from time to time even though we aren't always regular customers. Not to mention Khun Ben and Khun LM who served and took order of our food for the evening. Amazing staff. Thank you very much for making it the best evening.
Thank you P'Ju also for complement small disserts at the end of the night.
Will definitely be back next time I'm in the city again.

The set menu is very reasonable at 999 with one soft drink included. (we had to remind them to bring them)
The steak for a sirloin was fantastic not much fat. I would of liked more mash but the garlic was cooked to perfection.
Over all a very good meal which will be even better when joined with a glass of vino.

District Grill Room and Bar has been all time favourite place of my family for Sunday brunch.
It was very nice to brunch here again after more than a year when the Sunday brunch service was on hold due to Covid-19.
There are some changes to the menu with less choices comparing to before Covid. Nevertheless, the quality of the food is as great as it used to be.
Pan fried foie gras and Wagyu rump steak are my most favourite.
The service was also great. All the staff including Khun Ju, Khun Nid and Khun Sun are very polite and helpful.
I will definitely check me back soon.

It was our lovely dinner, the last one before another 1-month lockdown of Bangkok (from June 28th, 2021). My bf used to dine here. He loves the place and now I realized the reason why.
We ordered Crispy Chicken and Beef Tartare as our appetizers. The beef dish was prepared on the trolley which we could see how it was mixed and that made us more fun experience.
Our main dishes were Grilled Cod Fish and Miyazaki Wagyu Striploid A4. They just made both plates perfect as we expected and the quality of meat was worth every Baht!
Great steak, great services. Thank you K Youngsun, P Ju, Lookmee and K Nid for the lovely welcome. Everything on the table were well prepared and thanks for nice presentations. We would definitely come back here again after the restaurant is re-opened.

Haven't been to District Grill for a while because of Bangkok's lock-down 2 months ago but tried our luck this evening because it's not too far from our flat. Had an entree, a main, a dessert and an espresso and the damage came to less than THB3K for 2 people.
The quality of the tenderloin is great but flank steak at THB810 is very hard to beat!
Must go back soon before the Covid-19 pandemic is gone and I think everywhere, including District Grill, will go back to their normal price level which is very steep even for London standard.
The only complaint we had was the French fries which were a bit sloppy to our likings but it was explained to us that now it's raining everyday in Bangkok and the restaurant uses fresh potatoes from local farm which have more moisture than the frozen ones. Well, I guess we can't have it all!

If you are a beef lover and Tomahawk is one of your favorite piece of meat, please visit The District. Simply, just a steak attached with soft texture mashed potatoes could fulfill your evening already. Please ensure you make an advance reservation if you don’t want to miss their tomahawk!
Staff are so friendly and having high service mind. We enjoyed being taken care by them esp Khun Ju and Khun Nid throughout the evening, thank you! We surely will come back soon!

Our last night in Thailand, we decided to 'push the boat out' and have a really nice meal and something which would be usually way above our budget. We both fancied a steak, so after reading the wonderful rating of this restaurant and the fact that they offered a 'Meat Me' deal for a steak dinner, I decided this was for us. So we took a taxi ride for our booking at 8pm, sat down and pondered the extremely expensive menu (cheapest bottle of wine I could see was over ÂŁ50, with the food also reflecting the high price.) The very nice young lady approached us to take our order and i said I would like the 'Meat Me' deal that was offered, she responded with "sorry, sold out", even though angered by this I went through the menu to pick an alternative and decided it was cost prohibitive for us. I said to the nice young lady, I added on my original booking that I would like the deal and whilst I understand that it was subject to availability, I asked how can a near empty restaurant could have sold out so early in the evening. I left the restaurant and the hotel, and was then approached on the roadside by the lady in the restaurant, telling me they made a mistake and can 'now do' the deal. I thanked her and declined as the damage had already been done.
Upon reading some of the restaurant reviews I found it really strange that the majority of contributors had only ever left 1 or 2 reviews in total on Trip adviser, with the majority praising the staff members in the restaurant and individually naming them all, which I found strange.
I'm sure the food is wonderful, but its hugely expensive and my experience wasn't great.
