Somboon is offering good value set lunches at 249 baht which include the famous original fried curry crab with another main dish. I chose the chicken with cashew nuts. Overall very good and served within the COVID 19 protocol.

My trip to Thailand was spoiled. Book a course for two people via Beltra. (1700 baht) I made a reservation in advance because it was written by word of mouth, but only 10% of the seats were filled at 19:00 dinner because it was a...weekday. When I got to my seat, I was offered a drink menu without saying anything. When I asked for a cola, I came out with a straw in a can and a feeling of "dunk". I thought it would be normal to transfer it to a glass or serve it with a glass, but this shop was drinking something like this. In about 5 minutes, the course I ordered came out more and more. It was cold to make. Fifteen minutes after seating, the last fruit was ready. 【menu】 -Original! Crab curry - Tom yam kung - Fried vegetables -Fried spring rolls (pork) - rice - fruits When I was eating, my gaze and groaning sound. Looking at it, it seemed that there were few customers and there were no hands on hand, and four serving women surrounded this place about 3 m away. I wondered if he was waiting for the service, but there was no reaction when I dropped the crab in the crab curry and soiled my clothes. Five minutes later, an elderly waiter gave me a fruit plate. When I thought it was caring, I thanked him in English and said "I'm alright." (Here I was talked to by a person in the store for the first time. Until then, I was silent.) He told him that he had little left and was eating, but he ignored everything except the fruit. When I was eating the remaining fruit I couldn't help but sing again. This time, I heard the tongue and made an explicit appeal to return early. He thought he was patient until he had finished eating, but a customer came to the table in front of him. The customer also asked for a cola, but unlike us, the serving woman normally transferred it to a glass and gave it out. I thought it was weird and looked at the response to customers who came after others, but it was quite normal. In addition, two women who came in suits like a manager passed in front of our table several times, but they did not look. I thought this was terrible, and when I took a picture of a canned cola, I was told that I would pay for the extra drink immediately, even though I had not finished eating the fruit. Looking at the receipt, it was confirmed that a service charge of 10% was added to the drinks. Beltra portion is 1,700 baht including service charge. The taste is normal and the amount is reasonable, but the service is much better at the stalls, or at a level where some malice is felt. Looking at the response to other customers, it seems that the response is not always bad. There are many good evaluations, but there are also very bad ones. More

It's a nearby seafood resto from where I stay in Bangkok. It's located inside a mini mall, there are a lot of resto there, but Somboon offered curry crab. I tried crab, shrimps, and tom yum. They are all the best in taste, very delicious....And the pricing is mid range. I spent about 600baht/person.More

Seafood is fresh, cooking method is Thai-Chinese. Service is ok. No ambience, noisy and crowded. Prices are reasonable. If you want to eat seafood at reasonable prices, come here. Not the high end, high quality place.

We went to the Din Deang branch but when we got the it was closed. Luckily a person on the road told us that Samyan branch is open for lunch so we went. Since we didn't have breakfast and it was already around 1PM we...ordered almost anything we saw in the menu. And it was a lot. I couldn't believe the we finished everything. See our photos.More

Our first Thai meal could not have been better. We were with a Thai friend who choose all the food. Everything was so delicious, the king crab, the morning glory vegetables, the fried fish, the shrimp cookies, and all the rest. And the service was...the faster I ever experienced. The food started to arrive at the table 3 or 4 minutes after we ordered. Definitely a place I recommend.More

Located in the Chamchuri Square Building next to the Samyan MRT Exit 2, this is a newly opened branch of the "Somboon Seafood" chain of restaurants. Acceptance of credit cards was a major plus point. Ordered their signature dish from the Chefs' recommended menu i.e...Crab Curry. It had a hint of sweet n salty flavour - not to everybody's liking.More
