Wow! Incredible food and an outstanding staff. The 7 cheese plate tickled and teased my tastebuds while the bread kept coming. The tomato soup was presented in a beautiful bowl and smelled heavenly! I recommend trying one of the "Three Bread" combos :)

I shared the 7cheese plate and they were all wonderful. The waiter could not respond to our question regarding the kinds of cheese but the owner quickly came over and he explained what each one was and where it was from in France. My friend had the veggie bread and tomato soup also and raved about them, too (I tried... More

I normally go local whenever I travel to Thailand but on a whim we decided to try out this French restaurant which is conveniently located in the centre of the city. Food was simple traditional French fare and we had a very lovely meal there. Great attentive service from the staff....Lovely ambience, it was a Saturday evening and the restaurant... More

After all the fantastic meals we had in Chiang Mai this one was a dud. The tuna carpaccio and goat cheese on bread were good but the duck breast was totally overcooked. Honestly, the meal was fine but the service was the worst we'd experienced in Thailand. Took 20 minutes to put in our order, didn't clear plates as the... More

Coming straight off the busy moat in Chiang Mai and entering the picturesque garden and nicely set out terrace is a real transition into a meal which is not to be hurried. We didn't have a starter but ordered some wine whilst we waited for our fish to be cooked. We were served with a basket of lovely home made... More

Our group of 4 were overjoyed to reconnect with Chef Jean at his new location... bigger & better, and now with parking nearby! Crowds drifted in after 8pm, so we had the place to ourselves from 7pm, and we were the last ones out at 10.30pm : -) Much of his classic menu carried over, and expanded, bravo. Quality remains... A quiet evening for the restaurant—only three tables occupied. I ordered the duck breast—which turned out to be tough as shoe leather. At the meal’s conclusion, the chef and/or owner stopped by to fish for compliments, but I complained. Initially, he didn’t seem to grasp that all was not wonderful/wonderful, then went on to argue that his preparation enhances the... More

After four weeks of (magnificent) Thai food in samui and chiang mai, we felt the need of some red meat. Entering la terrasse was like walking into a bistro in the marais area of Paris. Everything looked French, sounded French and tasted French. A perfect salad nicoise followed by entrecote et frites and carafe of French red. Superb - as... More

Loved the ambience here - you would never know it was there along the main street if you weren't looking for it! The restaurant is nestled in a little garden, and at night it is just beautiful to sit outside and enjoy your meal. We had so much (Southern French?) food - a carafe of red wine, a plate of... More

Right by the centre of this beautiful city is this true French restaurant. A few metres back from possibly the most popular road in the city running around the moat, inside a small garden and away from the traffic noise you will find this private looking house with a large terrace thus the name of the place. The staff speaking... More
