Great food, staff, location and atmosphere. Beer is cheap, and the location is close to town. Coffee is great too.

Coke warm isn't something you would want, but they seem to serve all of their drinks warm at Otto. Not only did the drinks come warm, they were the wrong drinks. We were only waited on a single time in over 2 hours!

We went there with friends for some unusual food and were truly disappointed. It took me 10 minutes to get a beer while waiting for friends, but I'll put that on the account of the huge couch surfing table at the back, that was drawing all staff's attention and probably overindulged on the lamb, which was off the menu when... This place was recommended to us by a friend who told us how great the food is and how friendly the owners. We went there with great expectations and weren't disappointed not even one bit. The food is delicious, a nice break from the Asian cuisine and they also make pizza which, unlike most of the pizza available in Chiang... More

The place is lovely, the food very authentic and the owners/staff extremely helpful & caring. They do buffets twice a week which are both worth the visit. On a down-side the wine could be better but otherwise we loved it. Stayed for hours chatting to the owners.

I am gob-smacked at the rave reviews this restaurant has received. Our experience was of a very mediocre set-up and bland food. The seating is hard and mosquitoes abound. The tables are also quite weirdly positioned, perhaps because of the rainy season and need to place diners under cover. The effect is kind of disconcerting and the space does not... More

I find it hard to tell if it's food that drags me there or the friendliness of the owners and staff. The food is amazingly tasty and colourful, the chef is extremely creative and the whole atmosphere is cozy and homey. I think some cushions and a maybe a live band would help create a perfect Oriental mood.

As a regular to Chiang Mai, Kafe Otto is a new concept in the city. And I was amazed. A tip off from a friend said to order the leg of lamb and go hungry, so we placed the order and arrived a little early. I'd never seen this area before, it's kind of off the tourist path, but what... More

I love eating at Kafe Otto! The owners have created a wonderful atmosphere where you can enjoy the superb food. There's a good mix of vegetarian and meat dishes, so if you are tired of eating chicken and pork at most other places then this is a great alternative. I love the delicious selection of New Zealand lamb kebabs. The... More
