Just finished having lunch. Pizza, spaghetti Bolognese, and a wonderful garden salad with excellent Italian dressing. Simple place, good service. Very satisfied. Will be back to try the Thai food.

This is a great little place in Chiang Mai. I have been going to this restaurant over a number of years whenever I visit Chiang Mai and the food has always remained very tasty and good value. I've eaten both Italian and Thai foods here and both are excellent. Don't go here expecting an amazing setting or atmosphere - as... More

Thai cookery at its best! They have something for everybody and the hostess is just super friendly. She also spoke the best English out of everybody that we met there.

Greatest Spicy Tom Yum soup ever. Just don't mistake a green chilli for a green bean ;) The shop is nice and clean and the menu has a good variety of food to choose from.

Excellent little family restaurant. I had the Tom Yam spicy shrimp soup and it was certainly spicy. Thai cookery at it's best!

Hot soup is probably not the first thing you go to when you are already in hot Thailand but this minestrone soup is the best we tasted. We found out about Marios 3 days before we were due to leave Chaing Mai and we ate there everyday till we left! Gorgeous food and lovely people!

Highly recommended. We've returned to Mario's after a 9 month hiatus from Thailand. This is family run small business. The food is absolutely fresh and a "best value" for your money in Chiang Mai. We love this place. The owners focus on excellence. They won't serve or prepare any food that doesn't meet their standards. For example, they don't serve... More

The chef at this restaurant has actually worked in Italy and this comes back in the quality of the food. I particularly love how the spaghetti is always perfectly al dente. I've been coming back to Mario's for about five years now, it is simple but high-quality restaurant in a central location at close walking distance from Chiang Mai gate.... More

Highly recommended. This is a revision of my earlier review in October 2014. We continue to visit this cafe-restaurant weekly. And we are pleased with their excellence performance. Salads are crisp, clean, fresh from the morning market and bulky — there's plenty to eat. Pizza's are quite good. The Lasagna quite tasty. And any variant of Spagetti you order, will... More

I'll admit a bias or travelers preference. I love finding little known "hole in the wall" type places to eat that serve tasty, fresh food. We found this place just by walking by it. Other restaurants around it were closed. So we thought we'd give it a try. On our initial visit, we ordered salads. They were substantive and very... More
