We were recommended to this restaurant by our guide but because we had only just arrived in Hanoi, we just had one plate each and shared a small starter. The food was elegantly presented, tasty and beautifully cooked, a perfect first taste of Vietnamese food. Because we were staying at the Metropole it was perfectly situated and within easy walking... This is fine dining in the French Quarter of Hanoi (also within safe walking distance of the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hotel). The wine list is substantial and there is a menu to please even thre most fastidious diner. Suitable for a quiet dinner for two or slightly larger group.

We had a delicious dinner and an excellent Malbec. The only sad thing is that the first floor restaurant with live music seems to be kept for the locals and the tourists are bundled up to a characterless room on the second floor. But still probably worth a visit

Ly Club was recommended to us by our local guide, and it turned to be the best advice. The restaurant is on the second floor of a colonial French building, nearby the Opera. The building, the table setting, the service and the live piano music made it a perfect evening and let us enjoy one of the best foods in... More

We visited the Ly Club on our last day in Vietnam. It was a special meal as it was my partner's birthday. There were 4 of us. The place is like being in someone's private dining room. The staff were very attentive and looked after us really well. We started with cocktails . These were exceptional. The food was excellent... More

Lovely ambiance - we were seated upstairs but downstairs looked more cosy - maybe because there were 2 large groups on the upper floor with us when we were there. We knew it was a fusion restaurant, we picked a menu and really enjoyed most of the dishes. Don't go there expecting authentic vietnamese.

On a recent stay in Hanoi, we had the opportunity of enjoying this restaurant twice, for a lunch and a dinner. The Ly Club is a very refined destination for a meal (or two) in Hanoi. The standouts of our meals here were the Soft-Shelled Crab for lunch (which I believe is available for dinner), the wonderful Crab and Pumpkin... More

It is a great restaurant with very fancy music, photos and decorations. Our table comes with fresh flowers. The dishes are very nicely made. We had a stir-fried vegetable dish, and two rice noodles. My mother is vegetarian, and they were able to make her rice noodle dish (originally with pork) vegetarian upon request. A lady plays a traditional musical... More

Set in a pretty old French colonial style house, this restaurant was a great way to spend our last night in Hanoi. The food is traditional Vietnamese style and I can recommend the Pork dish and also their spring rolls. We had a great Robert Mondavi white wine. Went well with the dishes chosen. We came on the evening of... More

We were eight people and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Excellent wait staff and service. Banana wrapped prawns were delicious. Soft shell crab in garlic was perfectly prepared. We shared a chocolate ball dessert that was a show in itself when served. It's a 5 minute walk from the Sofitel. Don't miss it!
