I had the Pho xao chay (stir fried pho noodle with tofu and vegetables) and my man had pho chay (vegetarian pho noodle soup). Both we're delicious and fast to come out. My portion was huge! I only made it through half, so great choice if you have a big appetite. We will definitely be back :)

We found this restaurant on trip advisor. Although Bun Bo is a traditional southern VN dish, we decided to try it while in Hanoi due to the high rating. We were not disappointed. the bowls was excellent. We ordered 4 pork rolls for 6 VND each and would pass on that next time as it tastes like a bland hot... More

This place knows what it is doing and does it brilliantly. They are a smooth running machine, churning out dish after dish of beef noodle salad/soup that was delicious. It is a typical Hanoi 'rough and ready' setting but a step up from stools on the street. You go for the food and it is worth it but don't expect... More

This restaurant has one main course available so no need for menus - a beef noodle soup it is. Incredibly tasty and a nice hearty portion. Amazing value for money and they have a few beers and soft drinks to choose from too. Can't go wrong with a noodle soup and beer for £2.50.

Ate here everyday of our four day stay, fresh and flavoursome, large servings, very popular with locals (always a good sign)!

Absolutely amazing noodle dish and no visit to Hanoi is complete without it. Easy to find and order--there is only one item on the menu and there's an excellent reason for that!!

Little Vietnam Restaurant at the edge of the old City. Clean, fresh in a welcoming ambient. Excellent price quality ratio. Highly recommended!

Beef noodle salad was cooked in front of us and came piping hot. Great to share our table with Vietnamese family.

Had a good, tasty, cheap meal here. Service was pretty good too. I probably wouldn't overly recommend the sour meatball entree though, they seemed kind of raw.

Description
Bun bo Nam Bo is marinating the beef, then comes making 'nuoc cham' and the pickled vegetables (shredded carrot and papaya). The pickled vegies is crispy, a little sour and a little sweet, which even makes me eat two bowls of the noodle at once. Remember to pickle the carrot (and papaya first, before marinating the beef) since it takes at least 1 hour to get a good flavor on the carrot.
