For more than five years, I have been living a five minute walk from this gem but never went inside. Eventually I made it and now I am a devoted customer. The outside is not so attractive, but once you enter, you immediately experience its unique ambiance and the distinctive aroma of great coffee and he genuine chocolate. As you sit and enjoy your espresso and brownie, you can watch and listen as the process of turning cacao beans to tira misu begins, on their own special machine. The staff are attentive, all is wonderful. I have now tasted all their chocolate delights, but like most of your reviewers, I vote 'the Brownie no.1, a chocoholics delight. They also serve excellent homemade ice cream.

The staff are lovely, all very friendly and happy and smiley and don't force anything on you at all. We had lots of tasters before purchasing a few bars. Wow the cakes and the chocolates on display are phenomenal and way too hard to choose from and if you walk through the back of the shop - through the restaurant bit there are some cool stories and you can watch things being made in the kitchen. We were very impressed by this impromptu stop. It is very pricey though.

Lovely chocolate house with amazing selection of chocolate and desserts Some chocolate is vegan although expensive. We purchased the vegan banana cookie, the only one vegan choice we had. The cookie was delicious! I wish we buy another one. Highly recommend!

Exellent chocolate cocktail! I ordered chocolate cookie cocktail. Although it was a bit expensive (120 000 VND) it was worth the price. I liked that with a dessert you get a free refill of drinking water, which helps on hot days. Great place for a date.

You have to get a hot chocolate. ( order the "strong" one) at this ship that serves only Vietnamese -sourced chocolate. They also sell an array of pastries and chocolate bars. We went back for a brownie which we had with excellent coffee to avoid chocolate overdosr!

Absolutely loved it here. We went twice. We had a Milkshake and Ginger Tea with a two large cookies and one Ice-cream for around £8. It was all so fresh and tasty. The seating area was clean, light and with good air conditioning. Various chocolates on sale although we didn't buy any. All the food displayed looked so good.

It looked like a classic Vietnamese souvenir shop, and I walked to the hotel in front of Hanoi station where I stayed. It took me about 10 minutes to get there, but I found myself facing a road just down the street, so I had to rely on navigation if I didn't know. There was a showcase of cakes as soon as I entered the store, and when I ordered recommended products and drinks, they served me to the eat-in space at the back. Further into the eat-in space was a handmade workshop where visitors could watch demonstrations. There was a dedicated corner by the entrance for tea and souvenirs, which could be purchased here, but because it was hot outside, you had to be careful about the take-home time.

I came to the cafe for the sweets. It's fun just looking at the sweets in the cafe's showcase. The beer mug-style chocolate sweets I was looking for were not sold out yet. There are so many types of chocolate in the shop corner that it can be confusing, but you can sample them. You can have fun selecting items. I chose a standard set as a souvenir for home. The price is high, but you can buy it cheaper than buying it in Tokyo.

It was such a clean, bright and cheery place to be in. There is a good selection of cakes & pastries in addition to the range of drinks. One could also see how the tart or chocolate is being made. Do get your chocolates here for freshness and also better prices than at the airport.

Maison Marou is a must visit for chocoholics. Their brownie was one of the best that I have tried ; its was gooey and so very chocolatey. Also their chocolate bars are very innovative with flavors such as caramel over lotus root or candied ginger . Visited their cafe multiple times for drinks , desserts and chocolates and loved it every single time !

This company is now troubled by non-customer-centric non-welcoming nonsense making me always consider where else I can go instead of here. At one point I was gifted a frequent customer card. It’s made of paper and has fallen into disarray. I scanned it and saved it in my phone. It has my name on it and a unique number. They want the original card at checkout. Way to respect your frequent customers. This time I was asked to meet at Maison Marou (not my choice). There were three of us. We ordered tea. Apparently they only serve one pot of tea for two customers. If you have a third guest, you need a second pot. When you take the choice out of the hands of the customer, they will choose elsewhere. In this case, I highly recommend you choose elsewhere.

This cafe is modern and inviting with an open kitchen at the back. You can sample the chocolate before buying. They also serve beautiful pastries. We had macarons and an assortment of chocolate truffles. Wonderful! Please try the hot chocolate drink, it’s one of the best I’ve ever had!

So hard to choose in this place... everything looks crazy good. But I started with the basics -pain au chocolat. On the surface, it's something that you can find in every large city around the world. Ah, but the key is in the execution! And what execution it was. Perfectly flaky on the outside, perfectly moist and chewy on the inside. None of that cheap grocery store filling either -this is real dark bittersweet chocolate. You can tell that they make this out of the finest ingredients from start to finish. This may rank among the best pains au chocolat I've had anywhere in the world. Next I tried a few of their chocolate truffles. The flavors of the ganache were subtle, divine, definitely came through but without being overpowering. As good or better than anything in Belgium. The prices for the crafted desserts are suitably high. Croissants are high by Viet standards but low by American standards for good croissants -about 2 USD. Same thing with truffles -low by US standards for that kind of quality, but at about a Euro a piece, it's about what you might encounter in Europe. I'm going to have to take a bunch of their stuff home.

Simply the best place for chocolate goodness in town. The drinks and cakes here never disappoint. Great vibes but sometimes can be a bit noisy because of lil kids running around.
