Great location with a super nice balcony on the first floor facing the plaza in front of the cathedral. Awesome for watching people come and go. Very comfy chairs. Extraordinarily friendly staff. Thank You !!!

expensive, dirty and torn chair, bad service! You can find better atmosphere, services and drinks at other places which are way cheaper.

Had a lovely light lunch on the balcony overlooking the cathedral. Excellent spot and great food. Enjoyed a beer and lovely fresh spring rolls. Looked nice for dinner also.

Stopped here for lunch whilst wandering around Hanoi, the food was OK, and we had cold drinks so can't really comment on the egg coffee, but staff were friendly. It was more pricey than other places we tried.

We had lunch there on the first day we arrived Hanoi. We had beef noodles, coffee and spring rolls. A little bit pricey though.

We had a very ordinary Americano sitting outside as we watched the unsmiling waitress walk to every single person who walked past in an attempt to get them in. Then the bill adds 30% tax on top of the menu prices, making this one of...the most expensive coffee in HanouMore

Edit - this was originally a 3 star, changed to 1 - I wanted to be nice because I know venues can sometimes make mistakes but having read the other reviews I can see that this is a consistent problem. This is the only negative...review I’ve given on my travels, I wouldn’t leave a 1 star unless it was a genuinely very poor experience. Everything was meh, my noodles tasted like packet ramen and my egg coffee was super bitter, the beef was fatty, the sauce was bland, the staff were also ‘meh’ - sorry. The girl was apologetic but I found it very difficult to communicate. For the price I expected better unfortunately. I had a few tiny sips of my coffee and really didn’t like it so I asked to change it to a water and they said I’d have to pay for that on top - not really good service. I’ve had egg coffee before and I loved it, I don’t know what that was, it was absolutely dreadful. The VAT is also added on at the end so I paid more than what I paid at a 5* restaurant the other day as it came to 205K. AVOID!More

It's really expensive, and on the final bill, you have to pay an additional 20% for service, and 10% more for VAT !!!

Agree with most of the OP's. I have been in VN for some time but am a bit over the pushy overpriced vendors of Hanoi. This is a stellar example. Even though you pay 5 star hotel prices, that is not enough obviously and they...add on an extra 30% tax and service charge at the register. This sort of establishment does nothing for Hanoi but to reinforce the view that although they tout a socialist state, this is the worse practices of capitalism in action. Pure thievery and the food is mediocre at best. Wish I had read these reviews before I went. Shameless robbery in broad daylight.More

On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, I was walking near my hotel while my friends were walking in the city. I passed by this bar and the hostess suggested me get into this bar. I sat in the chair facing the street and ordered a glass...of wine. The hostess asked why I'm alone and qhere is my boyfriend and started poking around in my personal life. I was busy with my cell phone and felt like she was constantly looking at me and looking into my phone. Then when I finished the glass of wine she asked if I want more wine, and i agreed, cause it was chill evening with good weather. All the time the hostess and the waitress gossip about me and watched me and when I looked them, they looked away. At the end I saw the hostess watching at me and say to the waitress "alcoholic". I asked her not to talk about me! And I asked for the account. After whole evening when the hostess gossiped about me she waved me goodbye with impudently because she wanted i will go away fast cause she felt bad about herself! (she saied sorry but it was too late and for polite only) and after all of this, she wanted another 20% tip !! Disgusting place, bad and nasty workers!! bad energies !! Stay away from this place like a fire! Ruined my entire vacation! Get away from this place! Y.L.M LawyerMore

Nice and friendly staff, but the food and drinks are overpriced. For the egg coffee you pay 65,000 and there is additional service and VAT fee in summary 30% top-up. The view is nice, but just not worth...
