It's always nice to eat Authentic good Local food the Locals way, at Locals eateries. And prices are great "Locals" too. The noodles came with many add ons - taste great, delicious. Very nice indeed. As regards to hygiene concerns, frankly it's unrealistic to expect 100% hygiene compliances from all food handlers - anywhere in the world. Even in posh restaurants or cafes, food poisoining occurs. Of course in locals eateries like this, one expects lower hygiene levels. Enjoy good local food while travelling, no point worry too much.

Served with fresh herbs. Best sauté sauce and most spicy I’ve ever had. If you like sour, this is the place. I love this restaurant

NOTE: THE ADDRESS FOR THIS TRIPADVISOR LISTING IS INCORRECT. Bun Rieu Cua is located in Hanoi Old Quarter at 11 Hang Bac. One of GoogleMaps addresses is correct - it was literally a few doors over (maybe 50 metres) from the Oriental Central Hotel. Now on to the review. We were brought here as part of a street food tour. What a discovery! Only one dish - that the lady cooks up every day and many locals stream by to eat a bowl, sitting at small plastic chair either along inside counter or outside. Absolutely delicious tomato based clear broth soup with rice noodles. Tofu, Hanoi sausage and meat for protein (second time we asked for only the tofu). Greens on the side to add in to your soup. Large bowl is filling and was only 30,000 VND. (We shared both times we went as we were also trying other food elsewhere). So good we came back to Bun Rieu Cua the next day on our own for another bowl! Breakfast, lunch or dinner - your choice.

Food: I saw a basket of vegetables fall to the ground, but the staff picked it up and put it away for the next guest to eat. It showed a dirty too. My bowl of Bun Rieu Cua was pretty ok, not delicious. Location: 11 Hang Bac street. It is a small restaurant at the facing of this street. I probably won't come back.👎👎👎

Go early to this modest little storefront for some of the best breakfast noodles in town. The crab and tomato based broth is delicious. Just add some of the greens from a heaping plate they provide and a few chilies. About $1.50 per bowl. Local folk line up until they sell out.

Noodles cooked in tomato soup base. Nice and tasty. Especially when the weather is nice and cooling in the morning. Nice and cosy place for breakfast.

Just sit down and they will serve you the one dish they make. It is superb. The place was packed with locals. Always a good sign.
