Don't forget to try it when you are in Hanoi. Best egg coffee. We both tried the hot and cold egg coffee and both of them are great.

It took us a bit to find this place. Literally a hold in the wall ...well err a random narrow hallway in between two buildings to find this place. It was well worth the searching. Very busy and crowded due to the amazingness that is egg coffee. Creamy, sweet, and smooth, you'll have to try if for yourself to truly... More

Really nice coffee, thick and sweet unlike the usually bitter Vietnam coffee. Nice local and art coffeeshop experience but a bit noisy.

This is a cultural gem. You enter through a long, narrow hallway. Do not be afraid, this is fabulous coffee with exceptionally friendly service. Been in business since 1946. Some way or another they put a frothed, cooked egg yolk in your vietnamese style coffee. One of my top 10 favorite and unique experiences. Can not wait to return!

I went here for the egg coffee by way of recommendation from a friend that lives in Hanoi. The cafe was a little tricky to find, you need to walk down the back of a narrow doorway off the street and then head up some stairs to the inner terrace. Don't let the look fool you, it's definitely worth the... More

Cafe wasn't hard to find once you have the address bookmarked in your map (used an app in iPhone). A small entrance leading you deep into the cafe, with upper level big enough to easily seat 20-25 pax (or maybe more!). We ordered the famous Egg Coffee and tried their Egg Matcha as well. Frothy thick foam was immensely sweet... More

If ever you are in Hanoi near the Hoan Kiem Lake area, I recommend this place for you to try their famous egg coffee, which already expanded to by drinks like, egg beer, matcha with egg etc. The place usually gets crowded during the weekeds, but the staff can be able to manage and still entertain with the most curious... A new experience for drinking coffee. A must try for tourist. It's difficult to to find this place if you don't pay attention to the street number, cause you have to walk down a tight alleyway to the inside of the shop.

Thank manhk

Giang Cafe was founded by My Father ,Mr. Nguyen Giang in 1946, when he was working as a bartender for the famous five-star Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi hotel. Although the cafe has been relocated twice, its egg coffee recipe is almost the same as in its early days, with its chief ingredients being chicken egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee powder, sweetened condensed milk, butter and cheese.
