Randomly called in for a meal. We were wanting normal local atmosphere and we got that. Nothing classy but comfortable to sit and watch happenings around. Food was very flavoursm and different from Kiwi food. Excellent friendly service and as all things in Vietnam very inexpensive. A great start for our adventure.

All great, staff, service, quality of the food, the outdoor roof top setting. I was recommended to try Banh Xeo (Rice pancakes), and had a mini training session how it should be put together, eaten- not to make a total mess of yourself, and sauces to be used.

We requested to have a cooking lesson from the head chef here at the Rising Dragon Restaurant. The whole experience was fabulous and I could not recommend this enough. As someone who loves to cook, I didn't just want to be given a load of ingredients and taught the basic's of chopping and how to follow a recipe.. instead I... More

We stayed 5 nights at the Rising Dragon Palace. To be fair, we were told when we booked in that the restaurant was a top 10 restaurant in Vietnam. We wanted to sample all the local foods though, so went out for our Bun Cha, Pho, and other superb local foods. On our last night, we wanted to send our... More

Nice view of Hanoi from this rooftop outdoors restaurant. However, the staff was well meaning but very inexperienced and inefficient. Young kids with no one around to supervise them. The food was tasty but the portions were small and the prices significantly higher than in other restaurants.

food was good and the view was great. Remember it's a tourist restaurant in a hotel though. Also the patio/balcony isn't heated so be prepared.

Overall a great experience. We took another reviewers advice and booked ahead and secured a great table on the outside rooftop, it is not a large restaurant so booking is a good idea. The food was delicious and well priced. The service was good and staff friendly. Highly recommend it.

Excellent food, wine and service. One of the best so far in Hanoi. Very pleasant and clean surroundings, attentive staff and wide variety of local food. Creme brulee very good. Well worth a visit and worth the extra cost given the high standard overall...........................................will be going again, so my other half tells me!!!!!!!!!!!
