We searched for a restaurant local to our hotel and this restaurant had a number of good previous reviews and also our hotel recommended it. Upon arrival the restaurant was very busy full of what appeared to be local Vietnamese families which we thought was encouraging. The initial service was slow and the waitresses did not smile or particularly welcome... More

Had a great dinner with 3 people but the price was very expensive for Vietnam. Our bill was $250 US dollars, but the food was fantastic.

Huge selection of great seafood. Lot's of locals dining here, seems to be a very popular place. Service impeccable. Various live entertainment, music, singing, dance (Thursday night). A little pricey, but excellent price vs. quality ratio.

Local food as its best ! We had fried rice, spring rolls and shrimps. Interior design is old, but the food definetly ameks up for it. Service is efficient. Short show of traditional dances and music is good to discover local culture, but careful if you are sitting too close from the stage, it gets noisy and less intimate.

Saigon has 2,465 restaurants, so there is no shortage of great restaurants, especially seafood restaurants. Many years ago, my Vietnamese client and his wife took me to their favorite seafood restaurant, which was Song Ngu. Every visit since to Saigon included dining at Song Ngu. This is a beautiful calm restaurant which some excellent food. The menu has a large... More

In Saigon, there are many seafood restaurants, but Song Ngu remains a consistently popular dining experience. From the quality of the dishes along with that "freshly caught" taste, this place is hard to beat. Service is swift and polite, and prices are reasonable for such high quality. I first visited this restaurant 15 years ago and it continues to remain... More

Still Super Viet food after all these years. No wonder Song Ngu can still pack out these days. The photos speak for the review. I will add - not being a fan of the fresh spring roll goi cuon in Song Ngu is really good and the sauce is yummilicious.

The food was good and music performance interesting but obviously the large amount of tourists caused the high price level plus not so authentic atmosphere.
